Hearing Jeff say "this f*ing sucks" was cathartic. It always was good to see the duders have open reactions to whatever happened. This is probably the biggest turning point the site ever had to face and it will never be same... But things ending has to be ok and if ending things after churning out over a decade of amazing, beloved content isn't a victory, I don't know what is.

Jeff G. and the others will make something interesting happen, I'm sure.

I don't know if Jeff reads these comments, but...

You've built a hell of a thing, Jeff.

No website had more integrity than Giant Bomb.
No website introduced me to more new voices than Giant Bomb. (E3, GOTY etc)
No website pulled back the curtain more than Giant Bomb.

I hope that whatever comes next retains that commitment to honesty, transparency, warmth, and weirdness. You guys were my north star for my favorite hobby, helping me to put my limited time, money and energy towards really cool, really exiting things. You've heard it so much that maybe it sounds like white noise to you guys, but when times suck ass, Giant Bomb has been there to rely on to pick me up. After a shitty day at work, when something goes wrong around the house, when family lets you down, when tragedy strikes, all of it.

I've read dozens and dozens of pages of people reacting to the news this week, and if you haven't, you might be incredibly surprised by the amount of people saying "I'm ride or die with Jeff Gerstmann." The comments on this video are a big testament to that. The community has your back, lean on us if you need to. A pandemic, a new child, reforging something so important... if anyone can pull it off, it's you, man.

Interesting seeing you now with baby no.2 on the way. All that non-sense we worry about with baby one is out the window, shits real! Sorry to hear you're wife is suffering, my sister had 3x kids and was bed ridden for all of them, its no picnic.

I wish you nothing but the best, Jeff. I know this task of keeping Giant Bomb alive won't be easy, but I believe you will find a way, just like you did before when your back was against the wall. And congrats on your growing family.

I followed Jeff here in 2008. I trusted him then, and I trust him now. Everyone he's brought into this company has always been great, and while it's unquestionably gonna be a tough transition to go through I'm optimistic for the future of GB. Know that you and the other remaining staff have my full support, for whatever that's worth.

And congratulations on the baby news! Best wishes to your wife, too.
