Love cuphead, love the stream. I should try that dash.

After steam sales and being a humble monthly subscriber, I think I reached my limit on buying new games. I have a huge backlog and there are even some games I want to play through again, like Mordor. Cuphead isn't my cup of tea, but I'd be willing to buy the game to try it out and support the devs.

But maybe next year.

Dayum, Vinny MVP! Also I hate the chaser, it's just so weak. Felt as though bosses took 3 times as long using that compared to other weapons.

I'm sure Cup Head is great but this video is the exact way I want to consume this game.

the background of the genie level is based off of the fleischer "setback" camera, which would film cels in front of a diorama that was built for the background. You can see it in action in this popeye cartoon

I just got to Isle 3 in Cuphead and it is no easy task. I'm at around 400 fails I believe. Still as much as I get mad at a certain boss, I keep coming back. Cuphead is really something.

Oh and I hated that damn clown! Took me a while but I finally beat him with the lob shot and the spray shot. I think I used the Invincibility super too.

There any chance this can steal the steal my sunshine spot as a regular feature?

Almost unwatchable with the excessive F/S Bombs being said. I get it’s a hard game

but not really needed.

@rexham: Wow, saw someone talking about this reference on twitter, but didn't know what they were talking about. That's pretty incredible a great reference.

I don't know if Alex it that way, but the game runs at 60 fps and everything is animated at 24 fps, the sprites do move at 60 fps though.

I think it's cool how split people are on both the controls and the weapons, it's really interesting. I thought having shoot on right trigger and lock/aim on the left trigger was a no-brainer because that's every shooting game ever, but clearly not. I ended up moving dash to B, putting it on a bumper was confusing me because it made me want lb to dash left and rb to dash right which obviously isn't a thing.

Also until this exact moment I thought Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me were the same show. Turns out I have only seen Dead Like Me, which was actually a pretty cool show that seems fairly hidden away.

Just started Cuphead last night and mapped shoot to right trigger, @alex was right. It makes the whole game easier

Nice! I looked when I finished the game, I was at 124 deaths, so I felt pretty good about that. I feel like the difficulty of this game has been overstated just a tad. The difficulty peaked in World 2 for me, that stupid Beppi the clown boss probably took me the most tries out of any fight in the whole game, and I had trouble with the bakery / candy lady.

Interesting to see which guns people liked - I mainly used the default gun, close-up shotgun, and the homing shot, depending on the boss. I know a lot of folks really liked the charge shot, I never even bought it, as it sounded like something that wouldn't fit my playstyle.

Anyways, I loved this game! Seeing the insanely inventive bosses and the way they changed phases into even weirder and more unexpected things was definitely the highlight for me. I really liked the ones that felt like they told their own self-contained story, like the woman acting out different phases of her life in a play.

Playing through this game co-op with a friend was one of my favorite gaming experiences in a long time. Personal GOTY for sure.

Also, there should totally be a "Best Cuphead Boss" award category this year. I submit Werner Werman.

Don't put Supers on a trigger. That's a waste. You have to stop shooting to use a Super anyway, so giving it prime controller real estate is bonkers.

I really don't understand the problem people have with the default controls.

Sad they never came back to this, I would have liked to have seen them continue playing it.
