Hey Patrick,

In dark Souls 2, bosses will appear out of nowhere. Both in New Game and New Games +.

You can fight the Pursuer on top of a building before the end of the level.

You will fight the Giant Boss in a memory toward the end of the game without entering a white door.

In New game plus the Fight the Spider Boss ( can't remember the name ) on the side of a ledge at some point.

These are the ones that pops into mind.

Plus, there are really tough NPC that will invade you that are as challenging as Bosses.

Haha the voice effect on Greg's voice during the last segment had me crying!

Me too, paired with the shirtless-ness - pure gold.

Gotta love Giant Bomb at E3. Seeing these normally serious and straight forward guys being all cool and regular is just awesome!

For those that were surprised at Greg Miller's antics - lest we forget that at PAX East this year during the Royal Rumble event, he nearly broke his ass trying to do a piledriver on the John Drake bodypillow.

Everyone is allowed to have opinions, but please be respectful in your criticisms. These are guests. They don't have to come. At the very least, respect that. It's how we can bring these shows to you.

Everyone has their favorites and reason doesn't really factor into it. I thought Dark Souls was a big step back from Demon's and hated almost all the new mechanics as well as the "organic" world which, as my only gripe, is still present in Dark Souls 2. In stark contrast I thought Dark Souls 2 improved on what I thought were many shortcomings of the first Dark game, I suppose because it leaned closer towards Demon's design.

I'm just happy this new game is not another rehash and is genuinely introducing new gameplay mechanics because as much as I enjoyed Dark Souls 2 I felt really done with the serious right around the end of NG+ to the point where the newly announced DLC failed to get the slightest rise out of me. When you stop seeing a world and start seeing levels thats a good sign that the magic is dissipating.

On topic (kinda) great show and Greg is always a fun guy to have around. I'm honestly kind of interested in playing that new Sherlock Holmes game.. damn you McElroy..

@patrickklepek: Being respectful is key, but I feel there is also space for people airing some criticism. If people, like me, feel Mikey Neumann was a bit much, then they should be free to air some of that (to an extent of course).

Regardless, you have done a great job booking these shows Patrick and have been enjoying the hell out of them.

Totally right. Deleted my shit-talking, even if it's retracting what's already been said. To replace it with something good, these guests you're getting are really amazing, Patrick. I've loved the overall coverage from you guys, it's been fun as hell.

@patrickklepek: Duder I think the guests were great all around but honestly you really SHOULD trim down the panels next time. I feel like having two different groups worth of guests on at the same time definitely makes things chaotic, and makes other people come off as either too shy or too abrasive. It would obviously take even more downtime in-between switching but I really feel like a ratio of 3 Giantbomb cast to 2, maybe 3, devs would make a lot more sense for this format because otherwise you end up with drunk people shouting over each other (which, while entertaining, gets tiresome pretty fast). Still overall congrats on the great shows so far!

It was just a free for all , a few laughs sure, but I would have loved them talking about games other then just bullshitting like some drunk kids who got into their first case of beer.

Yeah... I sure enjoyed the few bits about games.

This was a great show! Mikey did seem a bit angsty, clearly he needed Greg's nipples to sweeten him up some. Also there were a couple of people who didn't really talk so much: Tina and the guy from gametrailers whose name escapes me (sorry!) come to mind. I wonder if getting some of the naturally quieter guests on the same segment would give them a bit more confidence, as I'd love to hear more of what they have to say.

While I agree that having such a huge amount of guests seems to lead a few not saying very much, what I don't want is more Giant Bomb guys. These E3 nights should be more for the guests, we get GB guys 51 other weeks of the year. Tune in next week to see them talking about E3. These nights are the only time to get other flavours of the industry.

As for what I've seen this year, kudos to both Patrick and Jeff. The guests have been awesome, and Jeff has been kicking ass at wrangling them. Keep it up, guys!

@patrickklepek: As far as I'm concerned, this has been the best year of interviews and talks at e3. I think you did a great job. But its mostly because I'm more interested in what the people who are making the games are like. That's what I feel giantbomb is best at, showcasing the cool people who make games. These big panels are great for that. But i suppose if you guys want more games talk, you would have to cut down on the folks. That would get a more directed discussion going on.

But hey, I'm liking it. Keep it up man

Well I know now where Borderlands comedy comes from and it's even more nauseating in real life than in that very unfunny, uncharming game.

Also, maybe a bit too drunk to be in a video.

48 minutes in: Mikey names four taco restaurants.

Alex, making an obvious exaggeration as an obvious joke, says, "So is that all you have in your city? Just Taco 'Word' restaurants?"

Mikey looks at him seriously and sarcastly rebuts, "Yes, exactly. I named four taco restaurants and that's all we have. I live in one of the biggest cities in the continental United States and all we have are those four restaurants. Yes."

Wow.

So far, these night shows have been far more consistent than previous years and the line-up of guests have been stellar.

But I do agree that in some cases having 6 guests plus 3 GB guys makes the show a little crowded and sometimes leaves people out of conversations. Like, I would have loved to have heard from Cara-- especially considering it was her first E3.

Still don't want to complain too much because I nearly lost my mind when I saw that finally Griffin McElroy made it to the show with Justin. Dream come true for me.

Last night was my first time watching & I enjoyed it immensely. There did seem to be a few too many guests at first, but once things loosened up a bit, I felt like it hit its stride. Even if Mikey isn't your cup of tea, though, you should at least be respectful. I personally listen to Chainsawsuit every week & am a fan of his humor, but if he's not for you, that's cool - not need to make a huge deal of it.

There are so many amazing guests on this video especially. Justin, Greg, Danny, Garnett, Kessler, etc. Seriously, such an amazing lineup. Day 1 was really good too, obviously, since you can't go wrong with Dave, Johnny, Adam, Kessler, etc. but wow. Fantastic job booking everyone, @patrickklepek and fantastic job hosting, @jeff.

@patrickklepek Guests have been amazing this year! Best year yet. I know you said you're learning lessons about booking guests, but you should come away from this knowing you've still booked the most amazing guests I've seen on this site. Well... except Nolan North... but that wasn't e3. Hilarious shows. Also, Jeff is a master host.

I really enjoyed this, thanks @patrickklepek!

It was a really fun show (the Mcelroys were great, the continuing Saga of Sherlock was a highlight, demon Greg Miller, Taco Talk, the European Invasion, a lot of great stuff!). There were some times when certain guests (the Seth Killian Table) didn't say much, and kinda spent some time twiddling their thumbs, but that's to be expected in any group of three or more. The guests are definitely stellar; you've done a great job! Thanks again!

Sure there are other video game websites you could click on and visit...but WHY would ya wanna to?! Giant Bomb is all sorts of next level shit over the competition. Jeff Gerstmann is a game historian powerhouse baby. He's flexing his muscle of dominance all over wannabe posers. Excellent job GB on these E3 video panel discussions. I LOVE the variety and number of guest you have displayed. Truly stellar work Giant Bomb! (Oh and those cardboard standees are wicked baller.)

I don't have anything specific to say about any of the guests really as I had the video on in the background while I was job hunting but I will also say that the mix of people this year has been amazing. Things do get a bit chaotic sometimes with the number of people on at once and mixing up quieter guests with more rambuncious ones, though that's a very hard thing to gauge in advance I suspect. On a traditional podcast, I normally get as annoyed as anyone by someone who hijacks or dominates the room but in a setting like this, I don't mind because it's just a bunch of people shooting the breeze by and large and that's great.

I've followed basically no site other than Giant Bomb for all my E3 news and between your general coverage and these panels, I feel like I got all the information I need (and there's like 25 new games I'm interested in as a result) and got it with all the goofiness that is Giant Bomb which makes the whole thing a lot more fun. The talk amongst the guys seemed very jaded and cynical to me leading up to the show but they seem to be genuinely excited by a lot of what they've seem and that's great.

Also, thank you for avoiding the controversies of this year's E3 on the after-hours shows, not because said controversies shouldn't be discussed but because in that environment with people slightly inebriated, they probably just wouldn't get the kind of serious discussion they should. Great job as always duders.

All the guests were fantastic. One Greg "the shirtless" miller stands out though. BEYOND!

Also, loved the Bloodborne talk Patrick. It really gave me a much appreciated idea of what that game is going for.
