The Bombcast were Emails stop being polite and start getting real.

Drew killed it with the ending pun. Also, the editor, which I assume is Jeff. Killed it.

As a casual player of Dynasty Warriors in the past it boggles the mind that even after people have said multiple times "It's just dumb, simple fun that's a bit cathartic" that Jeff just refuses to accept that as a reason for people buying or liking it and seeks a deeper reasoning.

At this point he has to just be doing it to get a rise out of the sort of people who will write an angry email right?

That honestly seems to be the case at times. Maintaining ignorance willfully seems absurd, and yet I'd swear that was the case.

Pretty uncomfortable with the hype over killing or attempted killing. It's war so people don't want to think about it, but Jesus. That's worse than any kids playing COD we try and downplay.

Except he actually acknowledges the E-mailer and admits that he brings up valid points as to why people like it. So...I dunno, listen to the podcast or something.

I did. And I bet that as soon as the next DW Quick Look rolls around, he'll fall back into the same pattern. I've actually had a face to face conversation with Jeff at PAX about the games that he briefly acknowledged on the Bombcast several years ago, and nothing I said then apparently registered.

So...I dunno, maybe he should retain information better?

As a former waiter I can say that this is true. I got paid $25 a day/shift, after all the tips and giving some to the bus boys I'd make around $75 - $80 a day. That's if we get a good flow of people, normally it's around $50.

EDIT: After thinking about it there were some weeks and months where I'd make $125 a day. The worst part about being a waiter is that pay is so inconsistent.

God listening to them talk about Dark Souls makes me want to shout into the internet.

They way over exaggerate how much better the PC version of DS2 is, and then way over exaggerate how bad DS1 was on the PC. I guess its some sort of balance.

DS1 was not a 'broken mess' I played through on my 1080p monitor and it was 100% FINE. It only got fucked up if you tried weird resolutions as the internal rendering was always 720p. It was at most 'lacking options', it was the game and nothing else.

Upscaled 720p looks absolutely dreadful, there was no ability to rebind controls and graphical options were next to useless. The DS2 port is vastly improved in every fashion people care about.

@itssexytime: Yeah I know, but I plugged in a 360 controller, booted it up, and played the entire game. I wouldn't call that a broken mess. It was just a lazy port, that they admitted it would be (I know that doesn't make it ok).

On tipping, its pretty rare in the UK apart from fancy restaurant meals. If you sit down and get waited on you tip, but no where else really. Maybe in a hotel if someone carries your bags? Also the north of England is basically fallout 3.
