The Plants vs. Zombies 2 talk just reminds me of Tetris Blitz. It seemed so cool, until after every game it did a "best offer!" screen, with Buy as a big button and No Thanks as a tiny one.

And then it started giving me phone notifications saying "Get the power up before it's too late!!" Outside of the game. Outside of The Matrix. Felt like Vinny said, you just can't help but constantly just look behind the scenes.

I can get my fix now!

Because it's entertaining to hear Jeff rant about how terrible and stupid wrestling has become, and it's good to have different perspectives and opinions on a podcast so it doesn't turn into a circle jerk. And I bet he finds the fact that it drives certain people nuts hilarious.

Also I started watching WWE again today after goodness knows how long thanks largely to you guys. We'll see if it lasts.

But doesn't it then turn into a circle jerk for people who hate wrestling at that point? It's fine he and other people dislike it, but it's still a bit weird how this things he likes to talk about this thing so much when he supposedly dislikes it.

I was hoping this bombcast would rival Apocalypse Now Redux in terms of length, comes close though.

Because he has still managed to watch a lot of it and checks in from time to time. Listening to the earlier podcasts, I get the idea he wants to love wrestling but just doesn't like the direction it's headed at this time.

Regarding F2P vis-a-vis PVZ:

Free to play games would be perfectly justifiable if some kind of guidelines were actually followed to keep people from being deceived. For example:

1. The title screen of a F2P game must show you how much money you have spent on the game thus far.
2. There must be a set amount of money you can pay up-front to get access to the entire game, and it must also be clearly made known on the title screen.
3. If you ever break the "full purchase" threshold by making lots of smaller purchases, you automatically unlock the entire game and can't be made to pay any more money.

...Hell, even the first part by itself would be a huge improvement.

There's nothing wrong with getting people to enjoy your game before asking them to pay for it-- but the problem is that people are being systematically tricked into paying more money than they realize for completely arbitrary and intangible "products" that can change on a whim. It benefits no one as a consumer. So why allow it?

If Japan can crack down on this sort of bullshit, then there's no reason other countries can't follow their lead.

@ilikepopcans: Well, except the Tuesday after TGS '08, which everyone seems to forget. There had however been a Bombcast for every day of TGS so you can hardly blame them. Not to mention they got off the plane from Tokyo that Tuesday.

Ultima Forever sounds like the absolute last thing I want as an ultima fan. Starting off with "it's like diablo"

Played 4 hours of the PS3 Saints Row and it's not as bad as the GB crew is making it out to be. It's nowhere near PC standards, but it's performance hasn't ruined the experience so far. I can kind of see what they me mean with the precision of landing on clusters, but even then the control when landing isn't that precise to begin with.

ALSO the hitching up when auto-saving isn't there at all. Not sure if it's because it's the PS3 version or because of the day one patch.

Path of Exile is another free-to-play game where microtransactions are cosmetic.

We were only talking about the 360 version on the podcast, Deep Silver didn't send us the PS3 version for review.

Vinny you almost had it with PvZ2. It's more like you go in for a meal and you get it for FREE, only you get the fries extra salty first. When you ask about the rest of the meal, you get the option to pay up for the burger...or eat another bag of salty fries (they look you in the eyes as they slowly add more salt). Dying of dehydration you ask for a drink to go with the burger, but are told you need to eat that burger first....and THEN you have to eat another bag of fries and burger to earn the right to get the drink...only sellers get a drink...or you could throw a little money at our mutual problem, friend.

And hey gross guy get some napkins and go wash your hands....that'll be another two combo meals first, and GOD DAMN we had to back up a truck at the loading dock for the amount of food we're going to cram down your gullet (we're watching you) to be allowed to throw all these wrappers away, slob.

It felt like I had lived in that house after I finished, which sounds weird... but amazing. Loved every moment in it.

@drew 1800Flowers.com might be a weird name (old based on the service on the phone), but the flower delivery service is top-notch. Great for couples out of state if you want to show some love or gifts to your significant other. I've used it a lot and they've always been great.

Never really get annoyed at Vinny ever, but god damn the Pikmin 3 stuff is so over exaggerated.

I'm clearly getting gypped by Netflix if they're offering Jeff the chance to sign up for 1 cent. They regularly send me emails about signing up again, but it's only to remind me of their great deal of $7.99 a month.

Also Jeff and Brad are total sourpusses not having any affection for Disney. What depressing childhoods they must have had. Actually that might explain a lot.

I expect better that this, and expect to be contacted shortly by the crew so that they can start planning future podcasts around my tastes.
