Well I don't get how they like rage, so we're even.

I don't like a lot of games but I can 100% see why someone likes it or the positives of the game so I always find their stance on those games fascinating.

I'm with Vinny, it's probably alright to wash it as long as it's 100% dry before you power it up.

I'm with Jeff on the Demon's/Dark Souls camera/lock-on. I wanted to like the first game, and I thought it was really cool, but the most basic tool you have to simply look at the world felt very awkward and put me off hard. I stuck with it for maybe ten hours, but after that, I just didn't want to deal with it.

Ryan has a similar opinion on Souls to mine. Eating peas with a fork gives you a sense of accomplishment when you succeed, but that doesn't mean it isn't silly.

The more they talk about Dark Souls the more and more I want to play it. What's wrong with me? Do I hate myself?

More Dark Souls talk? Good. I cant wait to see what the site is cooking up with the game though I'm hoping it's some endurance run type thing.

Ah dude... I made that exact same mistake. Twice. I didn't learn the first time.

Brad, people get that the thing from Arkham City is an early game event that is going to twist back around somewhere down the line. The thing is, you spoiled the moment. It's not the late-game mind-breaking revelation, but the thing that happens is a shocker. People want to see that unfold for themselves.

Of course, you saw it at a press event, so obviously they want you to write about it, and that's fine. But you could have gave better warning. The way you threw it into your article with a fo-casual tone almost felt disrespectful.

Holy shit, I said "I wanna take down the Riddler" right when Vinny said it. I think I go to this site too often.

If you kill that big huge guy with the broken sword (well, without leaving the area to get your equipment) you get a mace.

Brad, if you shoot the dragon in the tail like that, it breaks off and you get it as a sword, it doesn't kill the dragon.

Vinny, you can sell items later.

What I'm getting from seeing it is that it plays like Call of Duty. Ain't no circle-strafing with rocket launchers in that Quick Look. Slow, is what it looks like.

Oh god Vinnie you are no the only one when it comes to your wife and video games. When I start getting frustrated at a game she will try and be nice and get me to take a brake but angry me WILL NOT HAVE IT. NO FUCK THIS GAME I WILL DESTROY IT.

I kinda want to try out Dark Souls, but I'm also with Jeff in that the combat is overly focused on the animations and too deliberate. I can understand that it's not Bayonetta or Ninja Gaiden, but there's something to be said for slick, responsive action. I'll probably check it out at some point, or Demon's Souls if I get a PS3 again ever. I understand what it is a lot better and could probably enjoy it at some level.

This is a great analogy and how I tend to feel about Dark Souls. I still might try it out though, I don't know.

at 51:00 they're thinking of Cartel, which is being made by Paradox Interactive, I believe.

Brad, the new game you're thinking is Xenonauts, remaking X-Com. Jeff is thinking of Paradox's remake of Syndicate, called Cartel. Two different games.

Oh no Angry Vinny makes me sad. The trick to playing something hard is to take your mind off of your deaths by putting some of your mind somewhere else, such as on a Bombcast, and suddenly deaths have much less impact.
 
And Jeff saying "that's bad" instead of "that's clearly not for me" doesn't surprise me, but that's just Jeff being Jeff and that's OK I guess.
