Man, I am so excited to listen to this tomorrow. I know that it's unlikely, but I hope they prod a little as to what exactly went on with the Arkham debacle. I know there's a fair amount already out there about it, but I always find it super interesting when they do the whole "inside baseball" thing.

I 100% cannot relate to the idea of not renaming weapons or not taking companions, literally one of the first things I do in a bethesda game is try to find a follower.

Also, the purpose of having a settlement is having a cap revenue and having access to unique vendors.

Gonna wait to get this but I am no less excited, Seeing as how I got screwed out of playing the earlier version of Fallout games, this looks to be a much better experience. I am fine with it being a little familar as I haven't really spent enough time in the wasteland.

i love that jeff is still just as mad about the shitty ending of fallout 3 as he was in the broken steel quick look ahaha

Do we know whether anyone on the crew has played New Vegas? Because I am pretty impressed that in over two hours of discussion in the QL and this pod that there are exactly zero references to the previous Fallout game. I know that it's an Obsidian game but it is kind of pertinent to the conversation.

It didn't seem like such a blind spot until Jeff was talking about his problems with lack of choice and resolving faction conflicts, when that was probably the high point of New Vegas. And Brad's quip about "Poorly written? Must be a Fallout game" is annoying in that context.

Like, I wonder if they actually have a publisher mandate to not mention it or something

@comradesolar: Jeff liked NV, don't remember about any of the others. He even reviewed it. When talking about writing in Fallout games it's pretty clear that they're referring to the one made by the team that made this one, not NV which was farmed out (I agree that it's a good game).
