Wait, IO employees getting laid off and the Rabbids teaming up with Mario is not one bad piece of news and one good piece of news. That's about the same tone. Rabbids aren't any better than Minions, they're the same, and have probably got a Clark Kent/Superman thing going on.

What's going on in current-day Montana that's so messed up that the Bombcast are going "This is a great setting for slaughtering all the wildlife and fly around with grenade launchers liberating bandit camps"? I didn't know the US was that rough.

It sometimes astonishes me that these guys don't even know the basic arguments against their stated positions on things. Like "Net Neutrality" which hands a bunch of power to the federal government to fix a problem that doesn't exist, which is definitely NOT a win-win for the consumer. When giant government-protected conglomerate cronies like Comcast and TWC are vehemently supporting something like this, it's worth giving it a second look.

Damn 117 hours to finish persona, is that the normal amount of time it takes? I heard it was supposed to be in the mid 60s and I'm currently on hour 30.

Depends on you and what difficulty you play on. I'm a pretty slow player going through on normal and got up to 123 hours while my fairly faster friend went through on the easiest difficulty and did it in like 60.

with all this Destiny 2 talk, I've been watching a lot of this sites content on the first game. Main themes, Dan has never done a raid and the only one Jeff hasn't done is Dark Below's raid. I would loooove to see them do that one. Also with potentially Ben and Vinny trying Destiny, could be a fun time

@mormonwarrior: Minor correction here, Comcast and TWC claim to support net neutrality in principle, but oppose any sort of government regulation to make it happen. Hence their support for the repeal of title II classification for internet service.

Of course it's just lip service, both of these companies have been caught violating net neutrality principles in the past and have fought tooth-and-nail for the right to arbitrarily charge different rates for different types of internet packets. Which is why TWC is being sued by New York for throttling Netflix and League of Legends speeds.

Yeah, Jeff also said he didn't think anybody would want to see them doing the early hours of Destiny again, but supposedly all that stuff has changed since their launch streams, with the removal of Dinklage and all that. I'd like to see what that thing is now.

Absolutely this!! The whole time throughout the rave/catacombs sequence I was thinking about how awesome a Hitman level it would make. Throw in the Continental Hotel as the central hub where you equip your loadouts and costume. SOLD.

Injustice 2's story was good, but Injustice 1 was great.

While I appreciate the idea of following the fucked up universe after they oust Superman from power, it's not nearly as interesting or fun as seeing regular-ass DC universe crossing over into the Injustice world.

Finding out which characters turned heel and which resisted, regular Joker causing a ruckus in a world his dead counterpart basically broke Superman and fucked the world up, good Superman managing to make his way across universes to finally beat the shit outta evil Superman. One of the few times I've ever felt hype to see Superman show up.

This one was good though. The Kara angle was the most interesting, but the whole Brainiac invasion was just sorta whatever. I guess it was a generic invasion story the same way Injustice 1 was a generic evil-alternate-universe crossover story, but the difference is I still really enjoy a good alternate universe story.

It wasn't bad by any stretch though, don't get me wrong.

It's not that the whole country's rough - it's that Montana has swaths of wilderness and farmland, with small populations in most locations at best. It's a good place to put an insane group and have crazy stuff going on while justifying why the police or military doesn't just roll in and take them out.

other point of reference: I'm more or less "seasoned" in persona and it took me just over 140 hours to finish a mostly normal run + hard final boss because I was overleveled

I don't get the persona 5 hate either but it could be the mario kart syndrome. Your first is the best and you hate the rest lol. Though I think Ben's opinions are fine. Even if I disagree with some of it.

Late in following up on this, but re: Ben's comments on Montana huckleberries: when I lived in Montana, I wasn't adverse to consuming huckleberry products or anything, but the strange thing is that I never knew where the huckleberries were actually produced. I live in Maine now, and I know where I can pick blueberries and where the lobster pounds are - but I knew of absolutely no place that grew the Montana huckleberries that were touted as a great state specialty. Googling reveals that they're supposedly grown in the northwest corner of the state (and I lived in the central-westish part), but they're a weird, inaccurate thing to tout as a statewide product.

Ben's suggested solution for communicating with a rando in a Destiny 2 raid sounds a lot like the chat system from Final Fantasy XI. I've been in many raids with both Japanese players and Europeans from all over the place and it actually worked really well with their set phrases that translate to your language. Of course a twitch-based shooter might not work that well, though some of the later stuff in FFXI required pretty quick reactions and a lot of team coordination as well.

Goddamn, that game was so, so good. And grindy and inscrutable and arcane.

@emphulio:Destiny -- can you play it single player? I played solo at launch, "beat it", but missed a ton and grinding got insane and tough. With the updates i bought one of the "game of the year"editions... But its sealed. Any reason to go back if I'm solo?

@squidracerx: One important thing. According to wastedondestiny.com, I have 983h in Destiny, so these are words of someone who likes this game a lot.

I've played this latest release, Rise of Iron, solo a lot. Mainly because I like to do the daily vanguard bounties and mess with the strikes, but my crew prefers the crucible. If you like to gain loot and raise your light level, then yes. The engrams tend to almost always (like 95%) drop higher gear than you have equipped. They removed the ascendent shard and energy items and combined all different class specific armor materials into one currency, so upgrading gear is a lot easier, also infusion is 1 to 1, you can also now buy armor materials and weapon parts from vendors for glimmer. Rise of Iron strikes are really good and from Taken king onward, the story missions are also fun. If you are still hesitant, then you could start a new dude and see the early game progression.

So no one is going to mention Jeff the yogurt machine?
