@jason I loved Bozo's Grand Prize Game, but the kids only very rarely won the bike. Wasn't it on TV like right before school starts?

Pro juggles by Ben on that last fight. You two are also getting much better about guard breaking! Ben in particular was killing it right from the start, and Jason was using it a lot more by the end.

On up-dodging, you don't really have to time it, just spam the hell out of it until you're clear. You're basically invulnerable while you're spamming it aside from a few moves like overhead attacks or AOEs. It can take some time to trust it rather than backflipping, but the up-button duck dodge really is your best defense most of the time.

I really wish these weren't every other week...

Man, the “Power Rangers” fight also frustrated me so much when I played through this game. As much as I enjoy God Hand, it’s really at it’s best when you are going Mano a Mano. The close camera really doesn’t help against multiple enemies.

Ben really killed it on his last attempt though, did some sweet juggles!

Since it came up again in the episode, I'm going to write it down here: "nonplussed" means that you're so surprised or confused that you don't know what to do or say. It's pretty much the opposite of "unsurprised"

It's kind of a personal gripe for me, like people using the word "literally" to mean "figuratively," because you can't really have an alternate definition of something that means the opposite of the original meaning. Language is fluid, but that just makes both versions of the word useless

love that y'all are playing and enjoying this game! really makes me wanna go back and play it too, even after basically 100%-ing it... a decade ago.

i get it if it just doesn't fit the tight schedule, but boy i wish this were a regular weekly series instead! it would also probably make the experience smoother since that woud mean not jumping into its unforgiving arms (hands? fists?) weeks cold every single time you record a video.

anyway, good job with overcoming the obstacles in this episode! i totally believe you two can beat this game within the calendar year!

They really could've made it easier for themselves if they changed skills based on enemy types.

Nonplussed means perplexed or bewildered, and comes from the the old noun "nonplus". It is not derived by putting non in front of plussed.

Why Americans decided to start saying nonplussed instead of unimpressed is beyond me. Maybe they think it makes them sound smarter or classier? And no one says plussed to mean impressed. Now when you see nonplussed written in print or online, it can be far from obvious which meaning it is supposed to have.

In case it wasn't clear from all these very specific fighting moves, this game was published by Capcom. Clearly neither one of you guys are Alexander, but this series is pretty great. Feels like a public service to let people know what Greg Kasavin has said for years, that God Hand is great. I love seeing people try to get through this game with such jank-ass combos. Not sure why Jason is struggling so much compared to Ben, what're you nervous? There's also the fighting arena if ya'll are interested in making a few dollars for more moves though I'm not sure if that would slow down the pace of the feature too much.

That constant lunge attacking from just off screen in a game with such a close 3P perspective would drive me NUTS.

Was expecting a Gorilla in a Lucha mask from the thumbnail. I was not expecting a fully Sentai team! How did I never play these games!

I did not think I would like this series. Turns out... I love it.

@mezmero: If Jason would just use the Guard Break on blocking enemies that would help.

Also use the up dodge.

Also also, don't put attacks that launch enemies or have slow animations in the custom combo.

There seems to be a misunderstanding about the up dodge, it's fast but you don't need to time it perfectly. You can pretty much just spam it and avoid long strings of enemy attacks.

Also as I mentioned on a previous video you can mash any button when pummeling, stomping etc. I find rolling my thumb across all of them was way easier on my hands.

Anyways hopefully Jason figures out the guard break or this will be a 90% Ben feature, lol.

English is a living language, words mean what we understand them to mean and nothing else.

@afroofdoom: I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but Charles Dickens doing something doesn't mean that I am not allowed to think it's stupid. English is indeed a living language, which (like all languages that are alive) means that we are allowed to have opinions on how it is used, not that we aren't. The only cost to me for having that opinion and expressing it is that people show up to condescend to me because it makes them feel superior, but I'm well equipped to deal with that.

Also, I'm really not talking about hyperbole. There's a qualitative difference between using a word incorrectly in a context that makes it obvious why you're doing that, and just using it incorrectly. When someone says "nonplussed" to mean "having no reaction," they're not making an ironic point, they just don't know the definition.
