I Love Mondays - 10/29/2012

It's a live bonanza!

i really hate the new 'i love mondays'.... it was so much better before the move to gamespot. :( the looping video, ryan in front of a green screen... it was actually interesting before.

No way. I'd much rather have them speak casually amongst themselves. It's usually a lot more interesting than a one minute, produced video. But then again, I prefer this sort of content.

Personally I prefer this concept because it's much more "humanizing" than a produced video. This style of video goes with the whole idea that Giant Bomb is open about their lives and processes to help gain trust from their viewers.

I like both formats, so my only gripe with this is the terrible audio. It's from a Flip (I think), so visually it's bad, and the audio is even worse quality. But people post this every week and it hasn't changed, so I don't know what's stopping them or if it will. I like the impromptu nature of it, but if what that produces is held back by basic things like audio quality, it can't be hard to get something better. Mailbags at the old office were much higher quality than these.

I really hope Dave does Blade Runner this week. Feels like the only premium content this month is Patrick's Spooking stuff, which I'm not interested in watching.

Also AC3 is out this week? I thought that game was coming out late November! I just bought Deus Ex 3 so i'll probably skip AC3 until next year sometime.

Yes Patrick, Killzone: Liberation is a pretty good game. As someone who thought the first Killzone was kind of a mess, Liberation proved to me that Guerrilla was capable of delivering a solid polished game experience. Unlike all the other PS2-to-PSP franchises they acknowledged that the lack of a right stick wouldn't work and they designed a completely different type of game instead of trying to compensate.

Agreeing with the Alex love, during the past week or so I've really missed him. PAX, E3 and a short Live Live show appearance aren't anywhere near enough. Hopefully he's ok by the end of the week.

i miss the old mondays.....when you actually knew what was going on :( you gotta decipher alot of their muttering and shit now, its almost like they have to remind themselves to do their job.

This video needs more Hotline Miami or Hotline Miami soundtrack.

I wonder who gave them more pizza when giving them review copies. EA for Most Wanted or Ubisoft for AssCreed III. Guess we'll find out ;)

I always feel bad about the missed games like Ravaged, that game is like a post-apocalyptic Battlefield game. So cool.

Do you guys remember that you used to actually produce these videos? Giving a detailed look at the week?

I'm starting to miss the old ILM's. So much of their stuff (Bombcast) is a lot of lengthier casual conversation without specific direction, and I love that, but I need some balance. The site feels so one sided now.

The least they can do is have someone from Patric's side hold the damn camera so that it's not always pointing towards the blazing light of the windows. Cant's see shit in these videos....

And yes, Liberation is probably my favorite PSP game (or at least tied with the GOW and MGS games).
