Hey, the RSS is all goofy for this show still. I'd love to set it up on my phone's podcatcher, if possible.

Someday, I might actually catch a show live, and maybe even call in. Until then, I'm just glad for archives. :D

@Aeneas: @Nizzleworth: Try accessing the rss in your browser while not logged in. It'll ask you for a name and pass. Sign in and you'll be sent to a different rss with a string of stuff behind it. Get that updated rss with the string into your app, and blam.

It's a rough workaround, but it bypasses the errors you're bound to end up with.

I know how to subscribe using an RSS and pasting it into itunes, but when I do that it asks for a username and password. When I use my username and password for Whiskey Media it doesn't work. What gives?

Edit: Never mind. I read the answer in the other podcast thread. You have to put in your email instead of your username. And it worked! Awesome.

ok total noob here but how is the best way to DL this to my ipod? i know its premium so itunes isnt the best way but how do i listen to this on my phone.

Hmm my app (Podcaster for iPhone, everything up to latest versions) reports "Failed to import. File is not OPML or RSS". Blast. Thanks for the tip though, that's closer to having it working than it's ever been!

EDIT: Wait! Success!! I tried first doing the "go to rss logged out" on my computer, but when I did it on my iPhone, it routed me through some crazy reader.mac.com/mobile[...] URL and then THAT worked in Podcaster. Lovely!

I don't think Jeff's mic is on.

What's with the huge file size on this? (At least compared to the Bombcast)

@YOUNGLINK: download the the mp3 directly then put it in a playlist on your iPod. You'll have to listen to it all the way through though or else you'll have to start from the beginning because iTunes reads it as a normal mp3 and not a podcast.

Wow, I've been waiting for this.

I am still amazed that this show can actually "work" - almost all callers are 'cool' & polite (you know what I mean). And Dave is such a nice guy, helping the more nervous callers to ease in. Always finding some topic of interest (... or making one up!)

Rarely do you have a guy calling in who is delusional & thinks, he's 'friends' with Jeff (who literally has 10.000s of followers and 100s of email/friend requests by strangers every single day?), just because "random guy" sends 10 tweets (or worse?) PMs per day - and needs his attention hacking moment in the spotlight (or rather recorded). These are the kind of "Duders", I could easily live without and would wish for a pre-live Intern call filter. But, hey - overall ... it's amazing how good it works, right? :)

Yeah, I love that they're getting archived, considering I'm in the UK and can't listen to these live. :)

just listening and id love a random pc game of fallout 1/2/tatics, they are classics and great fun still

I was the Scottish caller, I sound a little nervous because I was surprised they actually took my call. I literally started up skype and tried to call and checked the live feed and they said my name. I had to do a double take to make sure it was me.

I will listen to this whole podcast while playing Tactics Ogre. So I glad I subscribed back in September.

Norwegian caller here. I must say, it is very surreal to hear the voices of the Whiskey Media crew through my headset, then realize that they are actually talking to me. I did actually forget the fact that they where answering my question, and in a way talking to me a few seconds there, which just made me even more nervous. 'cause I normally never do things like this.

I am also glad Dave is really good at "glossing over" the callers nervousness, and that they got someting out of my lame question. So thanks Dave and Jeff!

And if you play Outcast, please get to the desert town (Motazaar) and find the guy singing. It is worth it, believe me.

Sadly only got to catch the last half hour or so of the live stream.

I would love something on the mobile side, maybe even an option to get weekly emails if you opt-in. I'm assuming my situation is rare, but personally while I hit the site at least daily it's pretty rare for me to not hit y'all from mobile. I make a point now to hit the normal site every few days and catch most things, but like not seeing this till after the fact and almost missing the chrono trigger.

Also something if y'all are planning on more of these, I just realized there is no link to Whiskey Radio Show on mobile. I managed to get here after a few tries on full and then switch to mobile, but not the most fun

Are you the guy that threatened to kill another site member if they ever came to Quebec a long time ago? I can't remember.

I really enjoy Dave FM, it's so laid back and 9 times out of 10 the callers are in good form or relax after a few minutes on-air. Having Daniel on for a few minutes was a nice change-up too.

I mentioned it before on the livestream, but I'm pretty sure Jeff got hoodwinked on the Lucozade front.

I found the best way to use DOSBox would use a GUI front end called DOSShell. Which streamlines the setup of DOSBox games by letting you use one setup config, you just map an EXE to the DOSShell program, and it's up and running immediately as it already mounts the program for you. For games that require a CD, you're better off creating an iso, use the DOSBox command to mount the iso, which can be setup through the game properties.

Keep it in mind if you need to have a game setup quickly. Even better if the game doesn't require a CD.

But you know what's even stranger? Many people in the Giantbomb community have posted comments hostile towards Aspergers and Autism; that's pretty fucked...

It's a good thing Jeff was vacationing in the podcast room at the time of the show.

I had an issue last September with being charged multiple times per month; it ended up being crazy complicated (I had several false memberships or something weird like that), but Dan was right there with me, guy had my back.

Also, Cave Story+ totally has joystick support. I bought it last week and played it with my 360 controller from the start.
