Quick Look: Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis

This quick look is representative of my gaming sessions. "I'll just play an hour... oh crap it's night already!?"

Five hours? Ok, I’ve got to know what happened here...

This is the by far the longest quick look

I laughed my ass off at "quick look" 4 hours 52 minutes. But It's PSO2 so not unexpected. Can't wait to check it out.

The quickest of looks

There's MTX for player shops, storage, and scratch tickets that are basically a slot machine for costume parts.

BUT...

You get to be a big robot or a sexy robot (i.e. mecha musume) and just run around in a ball of other players that runs from kill zone to kill zone to raise a PSE meter until it PSE BURSTS and you unleash a pinata of enemies and collect a lot of loot at the end. Most of that loot is feeding guns or armor to the gun or armor you use so the numbers can go up.

It's pretty great. And the New Genesis update makes PSO2 in to an open-world action RPG that echoes stuff from Xenoblade Chronicles X and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

I hope QLs featuring 2 people arent a thing of the past. As solo streams are kinda not my thing
