More on topic - I'm kinda done with these kinda games. They've never felt that rewarding to me. Even when I do beat a level after 200 tries, I'm so frustrated by that point that I don't care that I actually won. Plus, they're way, way too hectic for me to relax to. Maybe I'm just getting old.

These are the only kind of videogames that actually make me feel like I've been wasting my time. Great, I just spent 30 minutes scrambling through a level, screaming continuously through gritted teeth, having no fun at all, and with no real sense of accomplishment..

I'm the complete opposite. Love these kinds games, Super Meat Boy is probably one of my most played games ever.

This game has a lot of character. Music is cool, overworld is clever, and even the incidental writing is charming. Obviously the core game seems pretty cool, too. Definitely gonna give this a go.

also, i wish i were the type that could instantly intuit the solution to all game puzzles/situations like apparently 99% of people on here can.

I love puzzle games and tough, fast platformers, but both of them combined stress me out way too much. So while this looks kinda neat, I won't ever play it.

Not the type of game I get into, but it does seem to have some charm.

Oh, fantastic. I wanted to play Half-Minute Hero, but I just don't have that kind of time.

@amyggen: have you tried Lovely Planet? I'll sing the praises of that game as the FPS Meat Boy until it gets the credit it deserves, dammit.

Dan's comment about the Sonic aesthetic is right on - when I first saw the thumbnail I thought it was for something Sonic-related or Sonic-inspired.

Also, when the Ninja destroys an enemy... a bird flies out of it. (edit: whoops, Brad mentions it at 17:40)

Not to be "that guy" but shouldn't a presenter know what platforms the game being presented are on? It doesn't seem that hard to do a quick search and see that this is also on Xbox. I guess the viewer could just look it up but I always find that odd.

@wrathofgod: Yeah, played that game after the QL and loved it. Plays well and looks and sounds amazing.

It doesn't really go that deep. I don't know if I'm correctly envisioning the solution, so much as I can clearly tell the solution they keep trying over and over again doesn't appear to be working, and maybe it's time to try something else.

Take the part from 6:50 to 9:47. Running off the platform and double jumping onto the left ledge is a good idea, I never thought of that myself... but why not then jump up to the higher ledge, deal with the two upper robots, then drop down and deal with the other two last?

Will that work the way it does in my head? I don't know... but surely it makes more sense to just try it a couple times than to spend 3 full minutes trying to make the same nearly impossible jump over and over again.

@mrbubbles: yeah I understand that. Just don't know why you wouldn't spend the 2 minutes to research before shooting the video, but I am not in Brad's shoes and no nothing about his work, so my opinion literally means nothing. It was just a thought.

I really don't like the way this game looks, but it seems fine overall I guess.

They really need to turn off the white flash every time a level restarts. I don't have epilepsy but I feel like I will by the end of this.

It's not the first time they have been completely uninformed about a game while doing a Quick Look. It's not uncommon to get incorrect prices or other information on the games as they are previewing them. Nothing a 10 second Google search wouldn't fix in providing more accurate information for viewers.

Besides looking fun, Brad's inability to competently play this game made me purchase it. Took me less than 3 hours and I 3 starred every non-legacy mission. Good job being bad at games still, Brad.

@dougfunk15: yeah I don't get it. The YouTubers seem to be better at this than the CBS owned Giant Bomb.

However, on the VRodeo videos they do an excellent job on presenting the platform and price info.

I liked this game as a time waster while watching videos and stuff, but there is one major issue with it that people should be aware of. There is a major bug that can cause you to lose progress. I spent a while trying to get 3 stars on all of the legacy levels (minus a few 2 stars that were pissing me off lol). I went to bed on the last set of levels, with just two stages untouched. The next day, I played some DS3 (therefore exiting 10SNX) and when I went back I'd lost all of my legacy level progress except for the first tv. This happened to me twice, the first time being in the main game where I only lost a little progress.

I read online that this was supposed to be fixed in a day one patch, but it obviously was not fixed. Still a good game, I don't mind doing the levels again. Just kind of a bummer to lose that progress.

EDIT: Just deleted this game from my PS4 after losing all of my progress from tonight again. Just 100% most of the levels, none of what I did saved. Fuck this game. Don't buy it until they fix this.
