Bad memories of Nintendogs... Someone playing with my game bought some shitty dog, and I had to name it before deleting or whatever, so I named it Fuck, and had to teach it to know it's name. After I got rid of it, I stopped playing.

I rented this POS from gamefly.. found the voice commands to be so unresponsive, i turned them off. (even after spending 15 minutes trying to get the stupid thing configured).

Aiming sucked, voice commands didn't work, and big bo got annoying after about 10 minutes.

overall what i played of the game was a bore..

Good to see Jeff bring some class *ahem* cursing to the GameSpot office. I'm pretty sure they were in short supply.

Yep, it's not as crazy, but I would probably enjoy this game almost as much as Vanquish; and a hell of a lot more than, say, Syndicate. Japanese Gears of War sounds a-pretty-pretty-good.

PC version is up for pre-order on Steam if anyone's interested! Only $40 too!

Maybe Binary Domain and Gears of War secretly take place in the same universe and Big Bo is Cole Trains great great great great grandfather before they explored outer space.

It's coming to PC? If it's not a terrible port like most Japanese titles, then fuck yeah! I was planning on getting this for the PS3, but I prefer my games on PC. I seriously hope it turns out alright.

It is amazing how entertained I was just watching Jeff pronounce, "BIIIIIG BOOOOO!" XD

I actually love this game, and I thought I was gonna hate this QL because of it. They were just screwing around, they didn't much about it, and the beginning of the game is pretty boring anyway. But man, Jeff and Brad to the rescue! Always watchable. That was hilarious.

Glad to have Giantbomb QLs back, baby! NOTHING STOPS THE GAME ROOM QUICK LOOKS!

All joking aside, you had some valid points, I just remember getting a codex call every time I did something I already had the comprehension to do.

I know that some games do a better job with tutorials but I honestly cant recall any of them recently that didn't require a throwaway level for tutorial or some navigation system that limits your play style until a specific part in the level as to help you grow using the limited skill sets.

But considering I can only name 3 games with voice recognition as a main component of game play, I wouldn't count it against Binary Domain considering it has more phrases than I can remember in situations.

Not every game can be Minecraft or Demon Souls and require an online Wikis to supplement in game control narratives. I don't think using the load screens as a control layout is any better either. Not everyone will read the instruction manual, so for the better of the general audiences, these types of game design elements are implemented so that no one gets left behind. Whether you believe this to be regressive attribute, it is necessary considering that most game functions are no longer just jump and shoot.
