Stop putting Brad in Quick Looks for sequels. He seems to just spoil the previous game while pretending he needs to for the Quick Look to make sense. Happened in the XIII-2 QL as well. There was absolutely no need to say any of the things he said about the original campaign of Dead Island, other than just doing it for the fuck of it.

I don't care about Dead Island that much so I'm laughing about this now, but I'm afraid it will happen soon enough with a game I want to play. When Skyrim gets DLC, I'm sure as shit not going to watch the Quick Look for them before the game is fixed on PS3 and I get to play the original game, because Brad will probably fill in dead air with random tales about major story beats from the regular campaign.

So they took out everything that made Dead Island fun and multiplied all the things that made it shitty? No thanks.

Fucking infected, those almost ruined the game for me, absolutely hated everything about them.

This quick look just sold me on not buying the game.

looks kewl tho...still. Original game as well even tho I've only just gotten to the 2nd area. I find it to be rather hard. The zombie population ramps up quite a bit from the beach resort to the city. Which makes sense I guess.

I get so angry watching Brad play anything lol.

Never uses guns in original game story. Fair enough. Plays DLC as soldier character and is given gun and lots of zombies. Still tries to not use guns whenever possible when swamped with enemies. Frustrating quick look ensues. Although, this DLC already looks many times more frustrating than the original to me.

Patrick talks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much and always repeats himself.

arena mode thingy looks good, though.

Yep, seriously, there's really no reason to spoil stuff like that; I have no intention to play FFXIII-2 and after watching this I have no intention of playing Dead Island either. Regardless, it's pretty obnoxious to just throw spoilers out willy-nilly =/

This looks awful and I loved DI for the most part. But the main game like this DLC had spots where those damned infected would just re-spawn and all u could do was run. Completely unbalanced things and killed the fun completely. Here u can't even run. People can make fun of Brad for getting killed a bunch of times but this looks broken to me.

God I hate Dead Island. I can't even fully articulate why, I just do. This looks a bit like trash.

Hahah, Brad pulling Brads. And, honestly, relax about the spoilers thing. The story wasn't good in Dead Island anyways; if a story spoiler changes the game from a buy to a rent or a rent to a not rent, then you shouldn't play it anyways.

EDIT: After watching the whole QL, the game seems woefully unbalanced. That first death shouldn't have happened, though.

@RecallBerserk: So I'm not the only one that notices how chatty he is in quick looks.

Wouldn't be as noticeable if he weren't in like 2/3 quick looks lately. Not that I really mind him.

Dead Island is so weird. I played the firearms girl, which is apparently very sub-optimal given the melee focus early on. I liked the start a lot, then dug deep into the jungle (since I started to get guns!), then HATED the last half/quarter. Like, gave me headaches bad.

And, yeah, the patch changes are kinda baffling.

@Scheds: Having played the better part of Act I (aka "the good part") of the game, I can say that yeah, the game is trash. I can't understand why anyone loves it. I guess when Brad says all you need is numbers and colored loot and he's on board, he's being very literal.

Quicklook of the year so far. Brad dying over and over and over again. Hilarious.

Hahahahaaha, oh man what the fuck where they thinking?! Essentially everything that was god awful about Dead Island while removing what was good--too many infected, single player (though I played it on my own, I can understand that a lot more people played and enjoyed it via coop, and it still stinks to remove such a pivotal feature), no levelling up, starting off in the city, the worst area of the game--and they're charging you for this garbage.

I was completely burned out by Dead Island like 5 hours before it actually ended so I'm not lookin' for any more time spent in Banoi anywhoo. But still, this all just looks dreadful.

I hate when people are bad at video games and claim that it's a mark against the quality when the game gets more serious.

The Ryder White stuff seems totally worthless unless you really care about the story, which was almost non-existent. To strip out the RPG, co-op, and achievements makes no sense whatsoever and at that point it stops being Dead Island to me. The Arena stuff is actually pretty fun if you can round up some friends to play it with.

Why does everyone seem to hate on Brad?

Yeah, he spoilt parts of the ending but he also mentions he will before, and to be honest regarding story DLC and sequels you should expect it anyway, as the game itself is likely to mention aspects of it.

Personally I really like Brad and his manner of discussion, but each to their own I guess, I'm not arguing, just hopefully trying to make the people moaning consider it from another perspective..

This was the worst possible thing they could have done for DLC. Why not raise the level cap a bit and add a new area to explore with some new weapon mods? This looks terrible

I have to agree with this, Brad was playing poorly but I agree that getting rid of the RPG elements sucks

I think the Arena DLC is only available to pre-purchasers and not all new game people. My copy didn't come with any codes.
