Hearing Vinny suggest propane tank+nails and Brad shooting him down when I KNOW that is a possible combination is the most frustrating thing in the world.

The weird thing to me is the engine. The textures are still such low resolution and murky looking. Maybe it's a combination of the textures and lighting... I don't know. I always figured the first game looked a little janky because it was a near-launch 360 title and no one was really using the console to its full capacity yet.  I guess it's because they're still all about the sheer number of characters/creatures of screen at once while maintaining a solid framerate. It could also be because this *is* somewhat of a mixture of DLC and a demo, both of which aren't usually indicative of the quality of a final retail game.

I say, that's a very nice suit

i love when quick looks become mroe than that, as in the person(s) playing are so into it that they just don't care and wanna play some more. 

Looks like Brad hasn't played anything of the actual story yet, otherwise he would have seen survivors.

I was hoping for a prequel which is different from the main game. 

Watching Brad play this was agonizing! Gonna go buy it myself now so I can try all the stuff he walked straight past!

*Downloads* Gonna try all those combination and get an idea if i want to get Dead Rising 2 since i never got around to playing the first one but this looks really fun.

Ha ha. Newspaper! So you can totally go Jason Bourne on a bunch of zombies. Probably not very effective... but funny.
 
I'm bummed to hear you can't make obvious weapons like combining a newspaper with a whiskey bottle to make a Molotov Cocktail. That seems to be the pitfalls of "create your own weapons" when the game won't let you use logical combinations.

Lookin' good, I'm glad to hear Brad say it is worth the money.  I will definitely have to check it out.

i hope someone mods in an unlimited inventory on the pc version, and some other stuff.

Wow, I didn't realize how much I missed killing hoards of Zombies with random every day items.

Where you able to move while aiming in the first one?  I don't think you were.

They literally fixed none of the major problems I had with the first game.  Besides a different setting and swapping photography for building, this is the same damn game.  I don't like the save system, timed structure, BS restarting as grinding, inventory system, constant babysitting/escort missions.  Very disappointing.

Of course this game is going to be disappointing to the people that dont like Dead Rising, and i say thats a good thing, us that love DR for what it is shall be more than pleased with this.
 
Technical issues and limitations aside with the actual game, i still had just as much if not more fun than the original. Also...there's folding chairs...so i win on all fronts.
 
Painful QL though, you can make molotovs with whiskey and newspaper so i have no idea why Brad couldn't

Totally classic Brad: Vinny calls out a combo that would actually make something (Propane Tank & Nails), and Brad just tries every other combination and gives up.

the combo cards clearly stated what a weapon can do and the dude is totally suprised by it all. Does he even pay attention?
