Cant agree wih your opinion guys.you dont need to replay the first few files over and over till youre lvl XXX i had to restart dead rising 2 once and i was still in the first file (1-X) finished it easily without any more restarts and almost didnt miss any encounters (maybe 3 or 4 in the whole game) so i cant really see what youre atalking about. just how i fee...

Yeah, I played through DR1 and 2 all the way without ever restarting. The game isn't hard at all if you're always moving.

I don't get it... I played through the entire Dead Rising series without restarting, saving every single survivor I discovered, killing every psycho I found, getting the perfect ending, and never being frustrated. Is Jeff just playing it wrong?

I'm one of those crazy people that Brad mentioned who can't get enough Dead Rising, so I don't regret getting OTR at all, even if it is just Super Dead Rising 2 Turbo Tournament Edition.

My two favorite things so far: How Chuck ties in, and the new Probe weapon (as stunningly juvenile as it may be).

I'd like to thank Dan Akroyd for agreeing to appear as Frank West in this game.

The scene with Chuck Greene is fantastic. The ending of this game is also a pretty nice turn of events.

I'll definitely rent this. I burnt out on DR2, just cause I did the exact same that that I did in 1, just kill zombies for hours and hours. I played some of the story, but didn't come close to finishing it. Now with West back, and some more stuff, I'll play through it right.

What? ive never grinded out the start of the game over and over in either games, i just played and finished cases at a leisurely pace and never felt like i was underleveled.

Did people miss Frank in 2? I'm torn about this game. I love Dead Rising, but I played enough of 2 and I also can't not buy it because there's always the possibility of it getting banned in Germany after release.

Why didn't they put the little resources that poured into OTR into Dead Rising 3? A theme park could have been a great setting but now it's already here.

I never understood their complaints about replaying this game 7 times to grind and get through it. I played through Dead Rising 2 all in one run. With the easily available combo weapons, orange juice, improved survivor AI, and three save slots this game is a ton easier than the previous one. The only difficulty I had was psychopaths. I finished with 30+ levels and the replay option was more a bonus with super-power chuck than anything.

Granted, the "best" way to play the game is to run from checkpoint to checkpoint avoiding zombies and half of what's fun about the game, but the story itself isn't that difficult.

With Keiji Inafune gone, there probably shouldn't be a Dead Rising 3.

Guess I'll just join the ranks and say I don't get their whole "you have to grind the start over and over" complaint. Never played the first Dead Rising, but as others I played through Dead Rising 2 in one run and had no major issues doing about everything (can't really remember if there was something I didn't do). I'm thinking it's not the developers that have stuck to the concept, but rather the guys that played the first one that went into the second one with that expectation.

I'm a Frank man, this is my dead rising 2. I played the original one and kind of enjoyed but fuck chuck.

Why did they wait until this game to put a free roaming mode in Dead Rising 2? That should've been in the core game. And where's Infinity Mode?
