I'll use this game as an example of how even poorly conceived games look great these days. It also uses what I would guess is an ambitious & technically proficient engine to make an open world mini game collection. It seems to have a lot of voice acting, pretty good character models, and fairly proficient animations and controls

So in the end the game is actually something that four years ago would have been a technical marvel...if it has been used to do a more interesting game.

I don't watch the show, so all I can say is that seems like a lot of effort for something that has weird ambitions for game play.

This actually doesn't look bad! I watched the show a few times and thought it was funny, but it was just the same thing over and over again. But I might actually give this a try when it get's to be bargain priced.

To the progressive witch-hunters on here screaming about homophobia, you're pretty pathetic. What was said by Phil Roberts was not on the show and is not reflected in the show. It was said in an interview and was actually fairly tame. I didn't agree with him, but it's a belief held by many fundamentalist christians and I respect the fact that he sticks to his beliefs.

The funniest part is that before they got their show and adopted the popular 'swamp person' persona they are know for they were just your average run-of-the-mill yuppie douchbags.

No Caption Provided

Why do I see this constantly posted? So if someone ever changes their look or style throughout life they are a phony? this is obviously a golfing picture, so why would they wear camo gear golfing? I am not very big fans of the show, but I always think this criticism is stupid. It would be like posting a pic of someone like Donald Trump years ago with long hair and wearing hippie clothes or something and saying he isn't legit because he is not wearing a suit. They run a hunting line of equipment, so of course looking the part would make sense....but I'm sure even back in this picture hey were not "yuppies"....I'm sure they still wore camo when they went out hunting and such. Example, if you see a picture of Alice Cooper wearing yuppie clothes golfing and not in his Crazy Goth stage makeup it still doesn't mean he isn't a "Real Rock Star"....right?

We live in an age where no one is allowed to change. Same things fly in politics. If someone changes a stance they lose all credibility and get destroyed for it.

I am in no way a fan of this show or these people, but god damn is it hilarious how people actually give a shit about this enough to dig up photos of their past to try and discredit their "authenticity".

For the record I just think it's hilarious that the guys with the "no yuppie" signs look straight out of a fuckin' Tim and Eric sketch in this picture. Not saying that's good or bad, just damned funny.

GIANT BOMB OOOWOOO

Every day they're out there making

QUICK LOOKS OOWOO

You could have worked #E3mysteries in there, squandered potential!

The only thing in the DD game that cost some money to create are the original characters. The environments aren't really detailed, the models poor. All the trees and shrubbery are probably bought. The AI is practically not there, so all the developer had to do was give this cheap-ass game some basic narrative structure. The production values here are lower than in most games, even though the amount of assets and "open" World feel make it seem the other way. I sometimes wish GB staff knew a bit more about the technology.

@dnofm: I know, but the empty and soul crushing environment with folksy music & characters blabbing at you? If John Luke ( somehownot spelled the super French and common Jean-Luc) had talked about Jaws I'd say it was spot on.

You speak as if this person spent years digging through the Kremlin archives to find this photo. The person was just pointing out how their popular identity is a complete falsehood, as is usually the case with T.V. I think it's OK for this stuff to be pointed out. We wouldn't want the youngins to go around thinking "reality television" has anything to do with reality, would we?

Again, I fail to see how this is a complete Falsehood. Because someone wears camo and hunts around their home (even if they wear it 80% of the time doesn't mean they don't dress in nice clothes occasionally and go out). This golf picture looks to be around when the boys were in their early 20's....so yeah...a lot of country boys clean up and go off to college and make something of themselves. I have also seen a large number of those same boys move back home and become country and down to their roots again. I fail to see the point. They never claimed to have lived in dirt poverty and had beards to their knees their whole lives.

It's more like we are just pointing out that people go through different phases in their life. Both in terms of looks, attitudes, and actions. Pictures of me when I was younger covey a completely different pictures about me then pictures of me today would. That doesn't mean my current self is a "falsehood", it means I changed.

Let me reiterate that I am in no way a fan of these people. I know nothing about them and have seen their show a handful of times.

I still think there is a legitimate difference between evolving as individual and consciously and deliberately forming a new identity to fill a marketing niche. Reality television, these dudes included, rarely conveys the former.

Of course there is. But providing an old photo of them golfing doesn't indicate them deliberately forming a new identity to fill a marketing niche.

It just doesn't shock me that guys who have the money they do from a company like the one they own have a cross section of interests between "rich things" like golfing and outdoorsy stuff.

I have a friend who adopts similar cross sections of interests and I could provide similar photos of him looking like a preppy country club type and then other photos of him covered in camo, facepaint, and armed for hunting or slightly toned down for fishing.
