Maybe it's because I'm a huge fan of MMA, but I disagree with Jeff. For me the "responsiveness" issues aren't issues at all. It definitely feels different from the THQ games, and maybe less video-gamey but I think it makes the game feel more like Fight Night Champions. You can't hit X four times and expect your character to throw out four punches like a dragon ball z character. Your actions are deliberate which, in my opinion, make the game more fun than UFC Undisputed 3 or EA MMA. Slower and more deliberate like a boxer throwing one hook too many and you capitalizing on it with an uppercut, again, like in the Fight Night series. As an avid MMA fan and a huge Fight Night fan, I have to admit that I am sort of falling in love with the core gameplay.

Graphics are amazing. I'm no authority on this kind of game, but damn did those first guys look real.

I think Jeff could have picked a better body type to match his head, as when i did mine it looked natural. Though for the QL it was perfect

@gulinotm: MLB The Show traditionally has really good commentary.

The NBA 2K commentary has always been good.

My favorite commentary in a sports game was when they let Vin Scully do MLB games

It sounds natural but it is VERY repetitive and not always context sensitive. They do do a good job of providing a bit of a storyline to each series but a lot of that is fueled by the presentation/graphics packages, it doesn't often come naturally through the banter of the three guys in the booth.

The NBA 2K series still has by far the best individual commentary from game to game, it just gets repetitive a lot quicker than a game in 2014 probably should. I wish these companies could get an entire year to record audio with the broadcast guys rather than just a few long days. Their halftime interviews with Doris Burke and real audio from real sideline interviews was a REALLY interesting innovation, though.

It's always decent coverage of UFC on GB! Probs give this one a miss tbf though, just looks like a graphics patch.

I couldn't stop giggling at UFC Jeff. It's so dumb.

The animation in these games always looks really stiff and robotic. They need to fix that for future games.

I humbly request you guys all make your own character and do a brawl on friday.. I want to see you guys duke it out! Watching Jeff kick ass made me laugh so hard.

They need to bring this face tech into the next Elder Scrolls game. It's suuuuper creepy but awesome at the same time.

This game face stuff is hilarious.

This was great, but it's tough knowing that the Giant Bomb Varsity Club won't be doing sports games QLs much anymore with Vinny on the Eastside.

Jeff pretty easily dispatching the guy who was shit-talking when the match started is going to be a dark horse candidate for QL Moment Of The Year.

Whoever Jeff fought deserved all the humiliation he got for losing that match. Stupid cocky trash talker.

Anyways the game is really fun. I actually like the career mode because it doesn't waste my time too much. Some quick training and then off to beat dat ass.
