i think the developers really need to change their language from "as you can see, here is a grenade that blows things up" to "here are the ways this game ISNT Far Cry 4."

Just Cause 3 just looks like pure fun. I'll be picking this up on PC for sure.

I just want to mess around with this game. I really hope the explosions look this good on PS4.

Why would they even mention FC4? Anyone who tries to make the comparison has terrible gaming memory, since Just Case 2 came out a full two years before FC3 did, let alone FC4. For that matter, Far Cry is a first person shooter, this is a third person action/shooter. They are really not comparable experiences, outside of "big open world where shit happens" (which describes a lot of big games released in 2015 so far).

It's cool how they have the blue and orange tones more saturated, to make it look a bit more like action movies.

Made that comment before watching the whole thing, but those'd be an obvious clue, sure. Seeing how even this got chugged up some during everything exploding around you with the camera up and close, I might go for PC, if the requirements aren't something crazy.

Or if I even buy this thing at all. I've seemingly grown too old for most crazy open-world shenanigans and the plot certainly hasn't been the reason to play JC games in the past from what I've understood, so not sure if this'll keep my interest up. Though it at least seems somewhat over-the-top, what with the guy shooting himself because the evil dictator told him to.

Listening to the developers attempting to give story reasons for all of this destruction is pretty funny but have to admit that the wingsuit flying is actually the thing I'm most interested in. I was really stoked about that in the run-up to Far Cry 4 as well but this is on an entirely different level.

Skipped Fallout 4 for JC3 and this totally reinforced my decision. Can't wait!

This is a pretty common way of demoing games. I've seen countless devs get on stage with a person to narrate and a person to play.

It's just not a typical Giant Bomb setup.

This is going to be fun.

From watching this Quick Look I think a steady framerate is a make-or-break sort of situation here. They NEED to hit at least a steady 30 on consoles or else it's just not going to work.

Damn it! This was the only game I planned on getting this holiday season, but I just read it has no multiplayer. For some reason I just assumed it would. I'm no longer interested. :(

The game looks like it's gonna be great, but it's a little worrying that there isn't any footage of the console versions out there, nor have they announced the system requirements for the PC version, with the release being less than two weeks away. What's up with that?

Alex giving them shit about the writing was pretty entertaining. I guess they have to defend it but, come on, they should know that the quality of the story is not why anyone cares about this game.

I am all in on this game. I actually installed Just Cause 2 on my Xbone last night to prepare for this game. I do like that it seems you are more durable in this game than in 2. I also appreciate not having to get health kits to replace your health.

I know I'm in the minority but I found the "just mess around and blow shit up" nature of Just Cause 2 pretty boring and this looks like virtually the exact same game, only with cheat codes on. I'm glad you all are getting more of what you wanted but I couldn't be less interested.

Ugh. The whole flying thing reminds me of Saints Row IV, which was completely ruined by turning it into an "invincible super hero who doesn't even need cars" game.

I think we need a better word than gratuitous I mean this is so far beyond gratuitous at this point. I mean she was throwing a grappling hook into a guy (which would kill you) kicking him with incredible amounts of force as the grappling hook retracted and puller her toward him (which would likely kill you) and then shooting him in the head. So far beyond gratuitous and so awesome! Was saints row 3 the first to really lean into this level of crazy?

Not just you. Just Cause 2 is one of the most overrated games of last gen. I remember buying it on a Steam sale and getting bored of it within an hour. On top of the fact that the shooting is awful. It's the same reason I don't go around in GTA and nuts anymore. That whole thing got old for me a long time ago.

Sheldon is totally 100% that Joe Don Baker character from the Moore-era Bond films. I will not buy this game until Avalanche admits their unironic love for Roger Moore.
