Quick Look: Fallout: New Vegas - Honest Hearts DLC

Glad to see Patrick driving a QL!

The king gave me a mission to find a guide or something and follow him on his mission. The quest failed because the guy got stuck and I shot him. I went back to the King and killed everyone there including the dog. Yay. I must've killed half of all the people I encountered in New Vegas. IT'S A WASTELAND AND IT'S A BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL!

I'll wait for the inevitable game of the year edition.

Because it's way more fun to watch it all scatter at once.

I should play this game. I keep thinking I should finish The Pitt and Mothership Zeta which is what I have left in F3 first, but that doesn't seem to happen.

Ugh. No more Klepek QL's. 

I disagree, I thought Fallout 3's story was better than that of Fallout: New Vegas.

I think this is the most boring quicklook I've ever seen and I don't know if it's Patrick or fallout. I hope it's fallout.

level cap only goes up by 5. You work for Crimson Caravan Company  not Happy Trails. Happy Trails is dlc specific. The mistakes don't bother me nearly as much as the nonchalant slightly arrogant attitude. Why does it bother me so much? Maybe the combination of the two.

Good job with the QL Patrick, only thing you could work on is geting rid of the UMMMMMM's every other sentence they get kind of annoying to listen too.

This DLC looks like it's going in a much better direction than FO3s, too.

I'm with you, Patrick.  I love Fallout, but I'm completely disinterested in playing it anymore.

This was probably the funniest ending to any video I've yet seen on Giant Bomb. If I had Fallout: New Vegas I'd have been convinced to buy the pack, just so I can play through, beating everyone to death.

This game looks awful. After playing a bunch of the Witcher 2 this game looks super dated. The engine is just no good at all and the character interactions are so stiff.

The game looks so dated, you could see the floor tiles near the end :| 
 
Like Patrick, I really hope Skyrim is awesome cause I have zero interest in a Fallout / Elder Scrolls game with the same mechanics.

 So many changes, you're too good to us. OG Giant Bomb was dope, the latest changes continue that trend. 
  
Dead Money was awful for me; I liked the characters (see: Alpha Protocol) but it was buggy as hell and very unbalanced. I had to run past a dozen enemies without any weapons or feasible combat survival probability. Took about an hour, kept dying and wasn't any fun at all. Traded in the game, might get a GOTY for DLC achievements, but that engine x Obsidian are hard to love sometimes, especially in recent 20xx years.

What the fuck is Ryan playing a Bethesda RPG if he doesn't like encumbrance.  Seriously that shit is never going away and for me I just groan every time he complains about it.  Sure I want a more elegant solution too but some people (namely me) enjoys the meticulous nature of maintaining an encumbrance.  The number just has to be reasonable and I'm fine.

I spent almost an entire hour to get rid of all my equipment and get my follower to stop following me. The problem was, the DLC doesn't automatically make your followers stop (for some stupid reason) and forces you to talk to them. HOWEVER, since my follower was somehow stuck in Lucky 38 (on the exterior, so she was far up on the outside wall of it impossible to reach.) So I had to find a fix to get her unstuck. The only way was to use the elevator in a certain location I hadn't found yet, and it was very far from any of the locations I DID find. So I had to spend a good amount of time travelling there just so I could get the follower unstuck so I could tell them to GTFO so I can start the DLC... but wait I still have to get rid of all this weight 
 
This is NOT the way to start out your DLC

I've wanted to see Utah in the Fallout Universe for a LONG time. 
Can't wait to watch this.

God damn Fallout is an ugly ugly game, I really don't know how anyone would find this boring broken game even playable.
