I like the 3D movement with the jet pack quite a lot. The level looks cool too. I don't know how much I want to play a game like this though. A cooperative version might be more interesting.

Beta keys look to still be available on Gamespot. Got one no problem off the site, not sure if that is related to having the premium membership free coupon from signing up with GB. Matchmaking was taking FOREVER. Longer than any actual match itself. Seems that the red team was actually low on players and was made up of mostly high level players while the blue team had more people but most were low level. Few matches I did get into red dominated blue with high level equipment and skill from playing alot longer than blue players. Meta-game was also being dominated by red team as well. Overall somewhat fun but I don't see this lasting too long after release and if the matchmaking isn't fixed it will be terrible.

Fighting over Dark Matter seems a waste, seeing as it's about 83% of the universe.. Uniformly distributed all over the place... that's like fighting for sand on a beach.

What's the point of restricting the players movement? Any reason from the devs?

Its like Shattered Horizon but with worse graphics and limited movement.

Interesting concept with solid mechanics it seems, but it's lacking some sort of "hook" I think. The game seems kind of barren to me. :(

Downloaded the demo last night, and that rocket launcher/shock bubble whatever is the freaking worst. It's too bad they didn't show it in the QL because it's super annoying and forces you to move around a lot more than you'd like.

brad you can't say "watch your six" unironically, that's not ok.

theres a slowness to getting into cover that makes the sniper rifle overpowered, this needs fixed for when the game is released, a lone player with any modicum of dexterity can hold a chokepoint against 2 characters at a time.

It's hard to care about games that are Xbox Live exclusive. Why do developers do that so much? I can understand it if Microsoft "courts" them to do it, for a "Summer of Arcade" style promotion. But to just do it willy nilly? Fuck you, 5th Cell.

For small developers, it's pretty tough to make a game for two platforms as radically different as say, the 360 and the PS3. They just don't have the resources a lot of the time. Maybe Hybrid will come to other platforms later, but just remember that it's not a matter of merely hitting some arbitrary multiplatform button.
