As a past Seattle Resident, I must say it's SUPER WEIRD seeing how they layed out the landmarks.

I guess this is probably one of the first open world games to take place there. Chicago welcomes you to the club of cities that you get to see weird versions of in video games. Man. Driver 2 messed with me.

Might as well just get this out there - I always preferred the Prototype games to the Infamous series. Maybe the darker tone is what did it for me? I don't know: Infamous just seemed like an upbeat also-ran to me.

Still picked this up though...because games that give me superpowers will always sway me from logical things like gas and such.

It's weird that the first thing I thought was how good those fingers looked. We gamers are a strange bunch.

I remember how amazed I was when Quake II showed animated fingers holding the gun, which I don't think any game before it had done. Doom and Duke Nukem 3D had static sprites and would at most have the hands animated during reload animations, but Quake II had idle animations - the protagonist would stretch his fingers after holding on for too long, and that really made it stand out to me, making many games that didn't do it (or didn't do it as well - some had very repetitive and short idle animations) feel pretty lifeless, and I could totally see that being a thing in this generation after stuff like this. You don't have to be a gamer to notice something's missing when playing something else after seeing this.

The enemies look very bullet spongy, and Delsin seems to not able to take hits all that well, sure Jeff was playing on "expert" difficulty, but that just doesn't seems like a good time especially for a game based on having super powers. (but really? Neon power? Neon!? what is this 1980s!?)

The movement and effects are smooth as fuck tho.

Somehow Saints Row 4 ridiculous parody take on super powers looks more interesting.

This game is stunning to look at, but after playing it for a couple of hours and clearing a couple of districts I got very, very bored and stopped.

How did they stand on front of the electronics store with the TV in it TWICE and not call out/notice that it says "Cole McG's" in big letters on the window. The in-store ticker even read in bright blue letters "ELECTRIC SAVINGS" ...come on!

It is crazy how similar this game is to infamous. I just completed the Halloween dlc for infamous 2, and just seeing this character in action tells me that the main concern of this studio was to push the PS4's graphics hardware, story and character animation were not priority.

I was hoping for a new game with awesome exciting mechanics, not Cole 3.0. I'm sure the game will sell well, but I will pass and Hope Fallout is as great as I am hoping it will be and if that is the case, that will push me to buy a new PS4.

I can't deny it looks pretty but it's a good job because most of this QL involves running around empty, soulless streets with nothing to do. Still, nice lighting effects though.

Yeah GTAV was like that for me, having lived in LA. The open-world treatment: take all the known landmarks and condense them into a layout that feels just off. We need to train monkeys to make games so we can get all the in-between grunt-work fleshed out in open-world games.

edit: fuuuuck, this game looks good. Wait... is that... is that Chris Parnell?

How did he beat the game and not figure out that you can dash when your legs get encased in concrete?
