If that's the way you choose to market your YouTube channel and that's the first thing I see, I am instantly way less interested in listening to what you have to say. Maybe they're great and funny and informative but that's a gross marketing tactic, plain and simple.

Grasshopper games are more miss than hit for me, I enjoyed Shadows of the Damned but Lollipop Chainsaw didn't do anything for me and Killer is Dead doesn't look to be any different.

Gotta agree with Jeff and Brad, although the boss fight looked enjoyable.

I still find this Miku-thumbnail to be as relevant to the game as a Jessica Nigri-thumbnail ("famed" Lollipop Chainsaw cosplayer) would be to a Suda Game.

Agreed, it is lazy, if the entire channel was made up of that. A thumbnail pertaining to the game, though? In that context, it makes more sense, and if there were ever a game where scantily clad women made sense, Killer Is Dead would be it.

I would say that it objectifies women, but I don't see the misogyny.

If you're still on the Suda bus after Killer7, I'm not sure if any other game can be labeled as up-his-own-ass. Killer7 had tons of geopolitical themes and commentary on post-war Japan. It was was crazy and dumb more than anything, but so far it's been the only Suda game that you can accuse him of being pretentious with. Ever since No More Heroes, it's all been Tarantino shlock from him. Killer7 at least tried to say something.

Having watched the first two hours of this game on youtube, I can confirm it has quite a lot of humor, but a much more dry delivery. For example, in one early mission, a man hires you to kill somebody. After you do the job, he thanks the team, and then disappears into a blinding white light. HE WAS A GHOST! Most of the room is pissed they aren't getting paid, while the boss man is just laughing his ass off. It's not as overt as NMH, but the game seems to be just as much of a joke as Suda's last few titles.

That being said, I'll wait for the price drop. I'm a Suda fan for life, so I'm gonna play this no doubt. But the gigalo missions are just plain gross, and the hack-n-slashing doesn't seem fun at all.

Yup, seems like the Twitch engineers must have worked on the player recently as it's unoptimized as hell with insane CPU load that I only have seen from the shit twitch player and recently the GB player....

Is this like Shadow of the Damned, where Suda's name is on it but he didn't actually do that much of anything with the game? Anyway I'd rather replay SMH or play one of his older games than this, but I may pick this up at some point, it looks sort of cool, but far from a must play.

And that Gigolo mode is painfully lame and looks extremely shallow/boring gameplay wise before it looks pandering, slimy, and sexist (which it obviously is) but yeah it just looks shitty, budget Xbox Live Indie Game dating sim with a fancy filter on it.

Besides some of the incomprehensible aspects of it, this game just looks boring to play. I like some of the stylistic aspects to it, but it's not enough to carry me through a playthrough.

... I am assuming this is based off the TBFP thumbnail, since all it is a cosplay photo based off of Vivianne (which is only on this certain Let's play). If that is enough to get your jimmies rustled... then.. I dont know dude.

Also the TBFP are GB fans and regular quote stuff from GB in their let's plays and on their podcast. And they are actually funny telling their own jokes and stories.

Man this game looks sooooo boring.

I feel like I'm in the minority, but I think this looks pretty entertaining, from both a gameplay and a story perspective. The staring at ladies part doesn't push me one way or the other; it's just silly, juvenile side stuff which is occasionally funny.

maybe it's because I'm only watching the video on "high" but why does the actual game look so much less crisp than the HUD? It looks kind of low fi.

Since I understand this is through & through a Japanese game, I can live with how it decides to play its story and how quirky weird it is.

Something foreign/weird doesn't instantly jade me from TRYING to enjoy something. I'd give this game a try.

Gameplay wise, it does look like it would get boring, but I also think GTA games are boring soo......

This looks fucking awesome in that really stupid way. Also I find it weird whenever Jeff complaints about that self aware stuff, since his opinion on it seems to jump from game to game. Also he just doesn't seem to like Japanese weird games anymore. Although who am I to judge that.
