Weird, on Progressive HD I only get like one frame per every other second. Audio works fine though, so it's not buffering.

Streaming HD seems to work.

@fisk0: Does it slowly load the whole thing if you start and pause it?

After refreshing both progressive and streaming seem to work fine. Not sure what happened there.

Not usually in to these kinds of games but something about this one is real appealing to me. Might have to pick it up.

It looked quite nice and relaxing until you smashed your skull in on that asteroid

Jumping between the blue clouds in-between the floating rocks gives me a real Donkey Kong Country barrel level vibe.

Wow, that's the second game having "Obtainium" in it in a week, after Rebel Galaxy.

Also, the first thing I think of when I hear Sploosh is Wind Waker, not Pam squirting all over the place.

The robot's voice in this reminds me of the robot/AI in Journeyman Project

Glad to see Giantbomb do a Quick Look of this game. It's my two favorite podcast worlds colliding (Film Junk and Giantbomb).

Also, someone let @jeff know that there is a fast and the furious trophy in this game (22:06 into the video). I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed. Or, at least, I hope I'm not.

Avatar's putrid stench is not limited to infecting the world of cinema.

This looks really neat.

Unobtainium is an engineering term for expensive or rare materials, and Avatar wasn't the first movie to use it either, it also appeared in The Core from 1998.

I know, but it didn't start showing up everywhere until Avatar.

I really don't think Avatar had much to with this. It's been a well-known term in sci-fi and general nerd circles for a long time now. I think it's just now they've started using it directly instead of coming up with some other name is because people are much more ironic and lampshade hanging (or whatever tvtropes calls it) is cool now.

This reminds me a lot of the criminally underrated Velocity games. 2X was my favourite game of last year that seemed to get ignored by plenty of people. I'll definitely give this a go

And now I feel the need to re-re-re-re-re-watch The Core. :D

@rustyaries: My 2 favorite podcasts as well....Do you have any recommendations for a good 3rd? By Friday I'm tapped out and wish I had something that came close to Film Junk and Bombcast.

@incmrlimpit: I like Freakonomics or Radiolab as a platte cleanse from film or video games. As an added bonus their episodes are 'evergreen' and that they are not dependant on daily news or topical. If your looking for more topical stuff you might want to check out Grantland's variety topical podcasts (But maybe not now that Bill Simmons has been fired). If you watch Game of Thrones maybe try out Grantland's 'Watch the Thrones' podcast.

Why is it that every GBeast quick look has low gameplay audio? The balance is way off, even with headphones. I've seen just about every video from them, and they're all that way; some worse then others. (I'm looking at you Homefront: The Revolution quick look)

Also, hot tip for these types of vertical scrolling games: don't look at your character, keep your eyes focused on the top of the screen while watching your character with your lower peripheral vision. It makes an amazing difference.
