Quick Look: Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom

Rat voice... priceless.

It would be nice if we could get through at least 1 quick look without Brad dismissing a game. 
And then supporting it. 
And then dismissing it. 
And then supporting it.

Oh hey, it's Brad clueless about what to do and complaining about it mere seconds after the game explained what to do.  (an animal totally told him how to turn the trebuchet.)

I, for one, really like the graphics. It's detailed, colorful (unlike so many mainstream grey-sh titles).
 
Though I won't probably buy this one. :P
I dunno.. After trying the demo..I just can't really like it...its universe, feel.. Not my taste! 
(you always need something more than pretty graphics and control to love a game, like "have a certain affinity for it", dig it)

Who gives a shit if Brad doesn't love a game...it's not his job to love stuff, it's his job to be critical about it.  You people act like you made the game or something.

Vinny seemed to give this game much more of a chance - good on him; Brad was pretty dismissive of it. "I thought stealth was done" was particularly jarring. So we can't have any stealth in games any more?

Yep, two minutes and fifty-five seconds for Vinny to make that Dragon Ball reference.

The graphics are rough and yet have that PS2 charm to them so I think it comes across well. I've been interested in this game since seeing the demo being played over at Eurogamer and GB have made it sound even more enjoyable :D

I am  intrigued by this game. I may have to play it. The big guy has some charm.

I might pick this up once it drops in price a bit.

You can attack the shadow dudes without stealth killing them. Just so everyone knows. Brad ran past em for no reason:P

The talking animal VA is totally a selling point for this game. I kind of dig the old school adventure game vibe this has.

I planned on buying this game when I first saw some stuff on it around E3...I just really haven't had the money or time to get it yet.  Glad to see Vinny and Brad interested in it from the quick look!

I think I have to play this now, its interesting.

Poor Brad, can't figure out to walk up to the catapult and push the button that pops up when you stand by the handle, instead trying every other obscure thing. For Brad, to play a game must mean hours of experimenting with every possible permutation of button presses and actions, only to find later that all he needed to do was walk up to what he was trying to interact with and pushing the button. I can only wish you better luck with your future gaming experiences.

This game looks pretty fun and interesting...Brad seemed to go in with a bad attitude, but to each his own.  I don't really mind the graphics and voice acting in favor of a fun game with a cool story

It looks interesting when no one is talking, because when people speak it sounds like it's making fun of it's self.

That parrot's voice almost reminded me of Riff Raff from Rocky Horror Picture Show.

What bums me out about the graphics is the lack of lighting and shadow.

this game seems alright

How about a whole game raising a giant. Wait, not a giant, a dragon. Start off as a child finding an egg and it's just a platformer. You grow with the dragon and the gameplay becomes more and more complex. From puzzle platforming onto character action on the ground. You can ride your dragon around to different locations with Panzer Dragoon style flying sequences.

Watching this 5 years later, I thought the same thing. So I looked it up on IMDB. Teddie's voice actor did the main character's voice, apparently, so it wouldn't surprise me if he also provided some incidental voices for the rats.

Man I wish I could download this game. It was a super blast to play and was thrilling to upgrade Majin throughout your journey.

I loved this game despite what the critics had to say about it.
