Bit of a funny coincidence but I just played through TimeShift which was made by the same devs who made this game. That wasn't great either.
They seem to be involved in Quake Champions also? Their credits of games are interesting.

NBA Street Homecourt, I bought it 10 years ago and never played it. Should I?

They complain about the timing a lot, but I don't think I saw anything but late release misses. Did nobody actually play around with the timing with short taps, or does this game somehow never tell you if you're early?

Looks lame, don't like the overall feel or style.

Oh my, the art style is atrocious. It reeks of low-budget 3D cartoons from the mid 2000s. It's completely devoid of any personality or charm.

I guess something is wrong with me... I really like this game a lot. The timing of shots takes some getting used to, but I didn't like Jam because it was too easy in that respect. I haven't even noticed the announcers because I play while listening to podcasts. I also have never really watched or enjoyed real basketball, only jam and street. Maybe that is why my view of this game is broken.

Boy, this is just awful. I'll stick to either the original NBA Jam or the remake on Xbox 360.

@yodalong: I agree. People keep comparing it to NBA Jam, but this game does it's own thing. I'm having a lot of fun unlocking players, leveling up and doing the challenges.

And the dev seems dedicated to keep updating and addressing issues, there was a huge patch and there's another one coming soon. I am really happy there finally is a good arcade sports game on PC again.

Alex, if you press circle during the player selection screen, you can back out of the current players and choose new players for online/tournament play.

This looks fine. If they patch out that weird temporary paralysis players have when inbounding the ball, that alone will do wonders for pacing. People calling this atrocious or ugly is a bit much.

Provided you take it for what it is — it's a lot different from the previous Street games — you should. It feels wrong at first but it's unique and it plays really well once you get on the same page with it.

this makes me wonder if there's any sort of arcade perfect port of nba jam tournament edition on xbox one backwards compat or something.
