This looks a lot like a Namco Museum thing I had as a kid where you walked to arcade machines in first person.

Jeff is good at hints.

Like a few others have said this is awesome. They took the dumb thing I did as a kid and imagine a platformer on the wall and made it into a game.

Now they just need to make a dirt bike game that runs in the ditches next to car. Thats what I imagined when I was a kid.

They have a derkwad of mirrors on their site.

What's the connection between this and GB though?

Perspective has been making the rounds among people that look at indie/student level games. It was also talked about on the podcast Idle Thumbs recently. 2/3 of the Idle Thumbs crew are Rodkin and Vanaman who Patrick interviewed extensively for the Walking Dead stuff. Brad also guested on the podcast way way back when. It might not be overtly visible, but they're all probably friends so it makes sense that they would know about the same things. I might be connecting too many dots, but whatever.

EDIT: OR ALSO YOU COULD BE TALKING ABOUT THEIR WEBSITE WHAT IS LIFE OH GOD

Also Chris Remo works at Double Fine, who are practically the official game developer of GiantBomb.

Hehe, cheers. That clears a few things up! I did mean the connection between Perspective and GB, since the site linked back here, and now Patrick being on the front door.

I came into the comments to mention that I used to do this as a kid, imagining my little action figures were running around all the surfaces and textures in my house. Glad other people did the same!

Also, game looks really impressive, conceptually.

Yep, I've had my eye on this one for a while, looks cool.

SO... on a sidenote..i know its hard to solve puzzles and play games live.. probably distracting and all...

and no offense, but you guys are terrible lol. So frustrating to want to shout out the answers to you when you just run around the same problems haha. It's ok though, I'd probably be terrible as well.

An Endless Dirt Biker.

As a kid, during long car trips I would imagine Mario or 8-bit Ryu Hayabusa was running alongside jumping from fence post to fence post. Where a fence post was down, they'd have to make a longer jump. This was the midwest so a lot of boring expanses with fenced-off fields. I figure whoever made the first endless runner had to get a similar fantasy out of their system!

There we go! The endless runner genre makes a lot more sense now. An endless dirt biker has to be made and on iOS already, right?

@beard_of_zeus: Kind of a blend between Echocrhome and Fez.

And once again watching anyone play a puzzle game is SOOOOooooOOOooo frustrating. You find yourself yelling things like "Jump, Patrick! JUMP!!!" at your monitor.

Wow. I forgot how infuriating it is to watch people stumble around puzzle games when you see the answer instantly.
