The AM you play is actualy a virus, true. But it was the corporation/government who created him in the first place. The real AM tried to smuggle the virus out, corporate/army goons caught him and virus got released in the process. But just the virus that assumed AM's form, not the virus that covered the entire city eventually. The bad shit that mutated and fucked up everyone originated from and was controleld by girl that was experimented on with a similar strain of virus as AM. So AM was not the whole reason for the infection just part af a bigger picture. He did still however murder a phenomenal number of people in pursuit of trying to find shit out.

I don't think I'm the only one when I say that I've missed Vinny. Man, I missed Vinny.

That "floating" illusion is one of my biggest pet peeves in video games.

Also, I knew Dr. Koenig's voice sounded familiar. It's Robert Morse, Bert Cooper from Mad Men.

Anyway - I think I'll play this. Prototype 1 was one of those games on the border between good and mediocre that was easy enough to consume that I actually completed it (rare thing these days). Like those semi-stupid action movies you watch when you can't be bothered to actually see something more demanding.

So it's clear this is pretty basic run o' the mill sequel, but why did they send it out to die like this with zero marketing of any kind?

I could use a dumb, fun game. My biggest concern was the side missions, which were out of context events in the first one. I like that those are now separate from actual side missions.

@HerbieBug: Nah, there were plenty of marketing in the Youtubes and other video players. Other than that though, I guess you're correct on that part.

Vinny and I said "ho ho ho" at the exact same time. And that is why I love this site.

Just finished the game and yes like other people have said Jeff is a bit off on the bad guys, good guys bit. There are further twisests and turns.

I rented the game and I really dig it. It's fun just being a badass. Yeah it's not that challenging but it's just dumb fun. It's like a big high-budget blockbuster movie; full of plot holes and overdone CG, but I'll go to the movies every time to watch it. There's a lot of things in this game that make me go "Holy shit! That was awesome!!" which isn't something I find myself doing very often nowadays

As for the game...meh. I skipped the first one and this one doesn't look any better or any more interesting. I think I'll check out inFamous 2 instead.

funniest opening to a QL ever!

This game is pretty damn fun if you know what you're getting into. Just dumb, over-the-top action at all times and the feeling of being unstoppable in combat.

I picked it up new for $30 from Amazon and got all the extra Radnet challenges and avatar awards, and 5 different pre-order incentive bonuses. Seems like the way to go.

Awesome, can't wait to play this on my Xbox One.
