Quick Look: Samurai Gunn

Pretty cool game.

Really? I watched it and couldn't finish it. I thought it was baaaaddddddddd. Maybe I should try it again. The soundtrack is awesome though.

This looks mad fun for when we get together to play games.

Also, this quick look was pretty damn entertaining too.

And lastly - as others have mentioned Samurai + Hip Hop is almost a staple.

I'm not sure if anyone mentioned this example of Samurai + Hip Hop yet, but I'll leave this here.

Looks insane, but i don't understand local co-op pc games. Lack of online makes it completely useless to me.

Seriously the disjointing black screen effect is bothering no one else?! I can barely keep track of what's going on and not be completely taken out of it at each and every kill. Game looks so awesome otherwise and I would be curious to see if i have the same issue in person but damn it kinda ruins it for me. Well, there's always Towerfall.

No online renders this pointless for me. Co-op on a PC is just weird. Obviously not impossible, but still weird.

Not quite as good as Towerfall (and eerily similar), but it does have nice style. It's a really good holdover until the best multiplayer GOTY comes to non-ouya systems :)

Those are some intense last matches.

For what it is, they are charging far too much money for this game.

Who thought a gamepad oriented local-only 4-player PC game was a good idea again?

I can really just picture it now, indie developers sitting down and actively deciding against implementing more features into a game.

I suppose I agree that it's not a spectator game but even following one character barely helped. Maybe it's preference, maybe it's something else, but I would consider this game a lot more playable for me if that black effect was simply removed or changed. I think the pause mechanic is really key and just as atmospheric but covering the whole screen in black except for the kill and the open blotch just feels like a bad design decision when it's the default.

Seems like the team is rightly set on what they want to do and I'm in no position to demand the game be changed but I would be super curious to see if indeed the game works just as well without the effect. Good for everyone else if that's not an issue but given how similar this is to Towerfall, I'm glad there's some options for someone like me.

I'm totally willing to eat my own lunch if I play it and it's not an issue at all. Until then though, and given my relative isolation it's not likely, I'll be sticking to my guns. Or should I say...gunns.

This might be the most fun I've seen these guys have in months.

Looks like a ton of fun. Might have to end up getting a couple more ps4 controllers for when I have people over.

Fun to see the crew pick up this game in real time.
