Quick Look: Skullgirls

The art and animation is really great, but I just don't have the desire to put in the time I would need to get decent at this game.

I'm with ya. I think they made it a little too creepy with how obvious they are going for that perverted/japanese anime style. Who could honestly play this with their significant other in the room and not feel like a pervert?

I don't get why people are offended by some bouncy boobs and panty shots (according to a couple of people, there are some). Don't get me wrong, I fucking hate it when games or any anime does that but it's not like the game shoving that stuff into your face, it's not Otomedius Excellent. Why don't you just concentrate on the fighting instead of this stuff?

Of all the fighting games I've played.... my favorite is probably tied between the new MK and Skullgirls.

The complaint about it resetting the number when you mess it up can't be serious. It's for practicing. You can't phone in practice...it's not just something you do solely to complete it and never think of again.

Yeah, I guess he was too in the mindset that it was a piss-easy tutorial mode where if you accidentally demonstrate that you can do it once, it lets you proceed. To be fair, I'm sure Brad wanted to keep things moving since they were recording, and didn't want to just spend 6 minutes practicing blocking of mixups.

But yeah, their derision of "you must do it 3 times consecutively" seemed effing ridiculous, when that's a pretty good way of making sure the player actually gets the particular lesson.

@bananahace, the difference is that mileena is not to be taken seriously. The string outfit is a joke. Skullgirls comes off as a horny thirteen year old who thinks drawing boobs is cool, while mortal kombat comes off as an adult who remembers when he was that dumb thirteen year old.

So if it looks like its drawn its not okay but if its anything otherwise it is okay.

So basically, Japan = Perverted

and American = Not Perverted
