Patrick getting out of the office has really gotten him to find his own style. Been loving all the content he's been putting out in the past few weeks.

Will pick this up eventually, I really dug the differences on how Daud controls over Corvo, being able to warp around and backstab mid combat.

While I was playing this level I accidentally killed that guy you were looking for at the end. Then it turns out that later on in that level you need to talk to him. OOPS. Not sure if that's my fault or Arkane's there, but I did manage to bypass it without having to reload by freezing time over and over, as the situation would demand.

@dallas_raines: No offense, but did you come here recently? Because the shift in the amount of Patrick hate previously on GB to Patrick love now is staggering.

Personally, I've always liked him. But for a long, long time he couldn't be in a video without half of the comment section being essentially what @5figh said above you.

Actually, after re-reading his comment, no, that's actually much nicer than what Scoops used to get. IT was more along the lines of "I'm cancelling my subscription Patrick Klepek is a cancer on the soul of Giant Bomb" or whatever hyperbolic nonsense bubbled to the top of their head at the moment.

Some of the powers he said were added in this DLC were actually added first in The Knife of Dunwall, like changing direction mid blink and summoning assassins, so i wonder if he still has those from playing KoD or if they are added in this as well. Man i dont understand people who hated this game at all. The atmosphere is incredible and gameplay is incredible. This was my favorite game of last year for sure.

Also patrick, theres a quicksave and quickload, you dont need to keep going to menus buddy

Thanks for doing this! I hoped I'd be able to get a good look into what they're doing with the DLC before purchasing, I'm still playing and loving the main game right now, and they've obviously put a lot of care into the whole package.

Those favours seem like a similar system in Alpha Protocol, where you could get weapon drops, less guards on patrol or more detailed map before starting a mission.

I think the people who demand that you differentiate are fucking stupid. I'm fine if you do it either way, but I think they're being way too picky about things. God, worst case you realize you don't want to watch the quick look after a few seconds and stop the video, and you'd think the video being posted by someone who doesn't work in the same location as the others would be a hint.

Either way, keep up the good work Scoops! :)

The DLC for Dishonored is amazingly well done, some of the best DLC for any game. The two of them together are at least the size of an old school expansion as well, and for less money. I highly recommend them to anyone who liked the game.

Pretty much. Best DLC I've played this gen. Do wish it had come out as one big expansion though as every time I start playing dishonored again after a break, I end up bumbling my way through the first few levels before I get used to playing yet again.

I thought Dishonored was a fine enough game, but just haven't been able to fall in love with it like everyone else on the planet. While good, I didn't think it was particularly special and as a result, the DLC hasn't called to me in even the slightest. Hopefully there isn't going to be a sequel, either, because it really felt like the type of game that came, did what it had to do, and finished on a strong note.

I'm with you. Dishonered was good game, but it sure had its problems. Blink was really clever and very cool to use, but also really exploitable. Even though the game doesn't seem that short by looking at the objectives and level design, Blink made it short.

When I realized I did not have to neutralize anyone in order to progress (except for the target) I invested all my upgrades in Blink. I did myself a disservice, but I skipped entire sections of the game by just blinking through them. Every level became short and I even remember one of them being 30 seconds to get through.

Having 'only' 9 levels and you can get a sense of how short it can be. I don't want to be the guy to knock a game for being short through. Those games can be greater than the 80+ hour experiences out there for sure. But it felt kind of empty. I love walking around in worlds like Mass Effect, but here, I didn't see the point.

Couple that with some stealth and movement problems. It was a good game, but I feel it sometimes gets a lot more praise than it deserves.

"The people have demanded" lol. More like the five dorks that have to complain about EVERYTHING!!! which gets tried on the site. You people don't represent me... although QL Solo is probably more suitable in this case, so I'm going to let you guys off the hook... just this one time... wait, what was I talking about again?...

While the title is useful to people who expect certian things from "Quick Looks" (although even some of the early ones of those were 1-manned), I think the most useful aspect of Patrick differentiating in a visible, categorical way benefits those of us who have come to follow him and prefer his insight and open-minded bent for experimentation.

So, a separate naming scheme (ANY, really, this one's fine) takes on an additional role of a beacon, for a sanctuary or a harbor. In that hypothetical space, insanity is kept to a minimum except where necessary. Hey, maybe in these videos new experiences are a major focus, or at least are expected or permitted in the interest of Patrick exploring new things, thereby enabling us to do so as well, vicariously.

I really loved the world they crafted for Dishonored, and I had a fantastic time playing it. Complete non-lethal stealth (the way I played through first) was definitely my favourite, but I enjoyed the lethal high-chaos playthrough I did afterwards too. The combination of powers, the blink and the dark eye thing in particular, made for some gameplay that I found really satisfying. In a way doing the non-lethal stealth stuff was almost more like a puzzle game in terms of finding the perfect route and mapping out guard orders that you then had to execute on perfectly.

So yeah, I'm interested to play some more DLC. Haven't done Knife of Dunwall yet either, I figured I'd wait for more stuff and then get a longer session going. Thanks for doing this despite being on your own Scoops, I still really enjoyed watching!

I thought Dishonored had a huge amount of potential, but I never felt as though the stealth mechanics were really all that polished. Guard behavior seemed a little too random for me, and it was mainly a "save, get spotted, reload" type of affair for me. The game seemed to really want you to use the lethal/loud style of play, given the bevy of weapons they give you.

I probably shouldn't watch this as I want to play through the Brigmore Witches myself. Knife of Dunwall was really great apart from the final level which I felt was a bit weaker because it reused an environment.
