It's a perfectly decent piece of music, just ruined by overuse. Blame wedding planners.

Just started playing this recently without ever dealing with the EA nonsense. I like it a lot.

@bathala: There is more in there. But I can't shake the feeling that it is still not there yet.

Its one of those pieces where the chord progression is in everything. Not quite the I,V,vi,IV that you hear everywhere, but I,V,vi,iii,IV,I,IV,V. I can't imagine how much a cello player hates the piece though.

For @rorie--an oboe is a double reed instrument. It uses a reed that is folded back in on itself, in contrast to the single reed instruments like the clarinet and saxophone. A bassoon is also a double reed instrument, and a big part of playing both instruments is crafting your own reeds. The more you know!

Really regret playing this before it's full release. Just no desire to go back to it now.

Isn't that oboe song Simon the Sorcerer's theme song?

Man, this makes me want to get a crew for this. Like Jeff I had a crew of 5-6 people for Terraria and it was just real fun, one of the best multiplayer experiences I've ever had

@jameboycolor: to late answer your question as a Stardew valley player who didn't play Terraria but is ten hours into Starbound, I think it depends what you liked about Stardew Valley. If your favorite parts of SV were building character relationships, probably not. If it was the farming, I would say somewhat, as I've gotten the same relaxation from plowing and watering and seeding, but there's less of the strategic element in Starbound (so far) from sprinkler placement, farm design, etc. if you enjoyed building pastures / fences for decorative purposes, yes. If you enjoyed the SV combat, there are more ranged options in Starbound, but it is fairly similar. If crafting and mining were your SV faves, most probably. If you like SV buildings but wish you designed them yourself, very much so.

Sorry for the rambling answer. I'm an economist, so every answer of mine boils down to "it depends". The game is fun and $10-15, I'd say give it a shot.
