@zurv: Speaking of which, I've got a hankering for a VRodeo. I've been dying to see them try Onward.

@treefingers: As Jeff has said it they don't think most VR games have enough there to make a QL very interesting, which is why they created Vrodeo.

@brad: Sun cloud + any other cloud makes a rainbow which when applied to the peep will snap him out of suicide.

That sound is your cloud's timer ending. I'm loving this game, but I haven't had any tracking issues. This is one of the VR games I can send a lot of time in. That's not because other games make me sick, but the content makes me want to stay in vr.

Is there something wrong with the video? The constant pixilation I'm getting is making it unwatchable to me...

I've been on the fence about buying this game without a demo. It looks great. I'm glad it got its own Quick Look. VRodeo is fun to watch but hard to sort when I'm looking for actual information about a game.

This looks like a perfect first shot for god games in VR. I really hope something in a similar fashion comes to Vive.

Can you play this game without VR? I don't see much of a reason for this to exist in VR only.

Also, please don't Quick Look games if you have no idea what's going on. Seems like Brad is missing a ton of mechanics and making the game look harder than it actually is.

@zurv: because it is an actual game that one of them found interesting. I think it looks great. A god game in VR is an amazing idea. I would like it to be more like populous than this but eh. Church likely helps them keep from killing themselves when depressed?

Breaking Brad: Rimworld

Man I tried to watch this in full screen and it was giving me a headache

Had a hard time to keep my interest in this, but i think it's relatively well done. Hoping another game makes a god game that truly nails that Populous / Black & White / Dungeon Keeper feeling.

Man, God games took such a weird turn in the last 10-15 years. With Populous back in 1989 you did God stuff like shaping the environments and had your followers react to that and taking care of their basic needs for themselves, only occasionally having to be told to follow your beacon when settling new continents and such.

With these recent ones like this, Godus and all the mobile games your people seem totally incapable of doing anything by themselves, pretty much forcing you to play an RTS without actual functioning RTS controls instead of the more abstracted Populous thing.

Man, would it not just be better to use a mouse and keyboard then awkward VR controls ? I mean, sure the VR headsett give a different perspective and maybe more immersive, but would prefer RTS games with mouse and keyboard then motion controller.

Damn. I'm watching this while I do other things and my attention drifts back to the QL just as Dan and Brad are talking about suicide statistics. What is this game?

I have no clue what is going on in this game and everything being so tiny is not helping.

This game looks cool. I followed what was going on pretty well. but, Brad, dude. You've got to keep an eye out for the question marks! Be aware of those surroundings even when focusing on something else! All in all, the game looks great. Hope it does well. I'd be interested if at some point I got a PSVR.

Are the alert icons hard to see in the visor? Brad keeps missing them and then wonders why his dudes suicide.

@Brad the violin Sound is to indicate that the Sun, rain etc is about to run out, as they are needed to replenish resources it's best to keep an eye for them and use them as soon as they appear.

Is this on a regular PS4 or a Pro?

@fisk0: to be fair i cant think of many other god games recently.

this may be neither here nor there but i was kinda hoping rimworld would be like that, where your crew has some autonomy from the get go. i guess you can configure what they do and how they spend their time, but i also kinda wanted the option of letting them fend for themselves and see how things turn out. maybe theres something im missing.

The music and sound effects in this game are insane, and not in a good way.

This may look better when you're playing it, but it seemed like the camera was too far away. Also, it would be nice if you could scroll and zoom freely instead of warp to a predetermined camera location.
