You should read the wiki page. It's a bummer Brad didn't mention it. WWHD has "Hero Mode" available from the start that you can turn on and off at any time which takes care of EXACTLY those two things by eliminating heart drops and doubling enemy damage. You can only heal via potions or fairies.

lmbo I just started the video but I love Vinny's metaphor of latter-day/lesser zelda games as "also-ran". A great metaphor for a lot of Nintendo's catalog.

Brad. The boat has brakes. The B button icon says "Stop" right on it. I don't like it when people complain about you but you are super frustrating to watch sometimes.

Having seen so freaking many speedruns of this game, it really is painful watching Brad play this. In his defense, though, that would be true of literally any of the staff.
