Quick Look: The Splatters

It's interesting to reading the comments on this video. You realise that people just watched about half of the video and then wrote it off. This looks pretty incredible as you get more advanced skills

Holy shit at the ending.

Crazy ending...neat looking game.

Well, that wasn't as disgusting as I thought it would be. Gotta love the in-depth discussions on splatter physics. This calls for a food fight in the name of science!

Also, the ability to see other people's replays is brilliant.

Would the spiritual sequel be called The Hershey Squirts?

lol yup, Brad thinks about things WAY too much. Should I continue to play this video game? But if I do things will happen. :)

I didn't like this at all. Then I saw the end videos.

I had a lot of fun with this game. It's easier than Brad makes it out to be.

If you changed out the name, this could apply to 95% of the videos on the site (Drew is pretty much the sole exception to this rule).

$10 seems a bit much. The game's format and scoring system makes me think it will be ported to mobile phones as well and at a cheaper price.

@dudy80: No, I saw through the end. It was certainly better but since I don't plan on being the world's greatest Splatter player it doesn't change things all that much for me. I still think this game would do well on iOS for like $1-$5.

If he is bad at this game, it's likely partially the game's fault. Saw it at PAX Prime, and NO ONE was able to play well. Seriously, one guy was stuck for like 30 minutes on the same screen.

Love this game. Well worth the $10 and a true skill-based puzzle game.

Yikes, this is one of those quicklooks where I was pounding my desk wishing they had paid more attention. That's a rare reaction from me. There's a lot of control stuff that they clearly seemed to miss.

There is always a ton of stuff they miss in these QL's, they often just don't pay attention to stuff happening on the screen and make up their own totaly dumb theories on game mechanics.

Wish more games would have an "demo" mode, that way we could get quicklooks like this more often. Because it's kinda funny to see/hear how their opinion of the game changed when they realized there is way more to it then what they assumed.

I don't know what to think about this game. It seems interesting, and I love me some physics, but... I'm not sure. It simultaneously seems like very high quality, but also lacking in that same area.

Definitely one of those games that is really cool, but I won't buy because I know I'll end up sucking and cursing at my TV more than enjoying it.

Maybe, but i played it hours before the Quick Look was posted, and literally had only seen a trailer for this game before that, and i got it pretty easily.

With ppl playing in a Con, it's probably because all those guys were playing in that kind of environment with a lot of noise, and ppl behind 'hem waiting to play.

But, with Brad, i don't know, i think he should just relax in these videos, most of the time i think he makes mistakes because he's trying not to fuck up on someting that's gonna be posted online for everybody to see, with that on you mind, of course he's gonna rush through things and not properly read tutorials, and then look bad.

Brad, just relax man, take your time, we got time, it's the reason we come to Giant Bomb, we got all the time in the world, and you know it.

Seems a bit over-priced for what it is, but on the plus side the opening line of this quick look was exactly what I was expecting it to be.

This game went from being a flashy Cut the Rope sort of game to blowing my mind!

They are aware that there was a timer, right. I am not the only one seeing that, right!

I enjoy that the video description for this is a direct reference to the Bombcast.

Anyone getting an Earthworm Jim vibe from the visuals?

I can't remember what game it was (It might have been in one of the Deadly Premonition ERs) where Ryan was like "Hey try doing this" and Brad just said "Eh, I don't think you can" and Ryan was like "umm... you sure?" and Brad insisted "I'm pretty sure it won't do it" and Ryan kinda got agitated and said "Brad just fucking try it, man" and whatever it was, it ended up working and as usual Brad was all "huh, I was sure you couldn't do that"

I may have possible described 18 separate occasions in various QLs and ERs.

This looks like the worst version of Coco Loco.

could only watch this quick look halfway though ... the way those splatters move is just a bit to much for me
