Quick Look: The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings (360)

Ima be buying this game.

I'm happy console dudes get to experience it, but I just can't get over how shitty it looks. PC on low doubles or triples the fidelity of it on console, and the gamma is out of fucking touch with how high it is. Also the UI isn't the greatest with a controller.

I will say this the combat and everything else is good on controller and the fact that they even did it in the first place is a miracle. But it's hardly the complete experience. It's maybe half...

I don't understand how someone who is so deep in the video game industry doesn't own a pc capable of playing modern pc games.

If there's a fucker that calls me "beastie baiter" i will fucking murder his ass. Cant wait to play though, almost done with the first Witcher prologue

I have to admit, with all those big trees, I half expected Ewoks to show up at some point.

I'll play it on console because neither my pc nor my laptop did well with the PC version (choppy framerates) even after the update and on the lowest settings. You really have to consider what you buy on PC (no matter that its a better platform for high resolution gaming). I'll at least enjoy my game money spent on the console, even if its just the pretty girl, not the super model.

As a fan of the PC version of both games I think this looks pretty fun for a console port.

Witcher 2 was amazing, but one part left me cold: Dandelion and Geralt both boned the succubus in my game, but there was no dialog option to high five.

At least it has one now there wasnt one before. And they fixed the mad bomber technique i made. Where i spend the whole time building bombs and just blow all enemies to hell lol .

It kinda sucks that my laptop can barely run this game on ULTRA low settings (meaning I messed with .ini files to make it look even worse than low settings), but the 360 version looks great. If I'm able to run stuff like Skyrim, Alan Wake, Mass Effect 1-3, etc then I should be able to run this game fine on low settings. They really failed at optimizing the PC version.
