This game is great .

Seems a little too simple for me. Like it feels more like a puzzle game where you have to figure out the very specific pattern and then just get good at it. I associate stealth with options and open ended gameplay a lot more.

I also hear the story is kinda ehh..

Wow, so this game detects when you barely cheese your way through an obstacle and comments on it? That's pretty great.

i'm not sure how i feel about the way the music goes "YESSSSSSS, EPIC!" whenever one of the guards busts you. not the best moment to give rewarding audiovisual feedback, is it?

This looks pretty bland for a stealth game. Am I missing something?

I believe Mike has said this himself, but this looks more like the VR missions stealth of MGS more so than most other contemporary stealth games. In that it's more puzzle based with usually only the one method of getting to your goal.

Oh! Awesome to hear Daniel Wallace looks to have returned for this from Thomas Was Alone, too.

It's been fun watching the progress of this game through development - I haven't kept too close an eye, because I didn't want to feel burned out on it by the time of release, but I've been checking in on Mike's updates every so often so it's cool to see the final project now. I liked the VR missions in MGS so anything that's heavily based on that (kind of an action-stealth puzzle of sorts) is okay with me. It's quite simple in design, but so was TWA and I don't feel that hurt it. I'm very much a mechanics-first player.

The story doesn't sound too hot but the gameplay seems fun though, a lot like VR Missions but designed better because really VR Missions wasn't a great game.

looks like a nice little game , not something i'd wanna play since i'm not big on stealth but nice enough . also amused alex didn't notice the checkpoints in the last level half into walking around those sound plates in the sideroom looking areas

When i first heard about the game i was optimistic, but to be frank this game looks like a simplified version of VR missions. Now i liked that game 15 years ago, but i don't think i need more of that. I guess the level creator is a neat addition though.

For how much Alex comments on the checkpoints being broken, he doesn't seem to like taking advantage of them.

I really think you would need to realise this is a futuristic retelling of Robin hood to appreciate what Mike Bithell is going for with the plot here. The fact Alex didn't pick up on that is probably what's leaving him a bit non-plussed about the story. The streaming out how to rob places to provoke unrest and redistribute wealth makes a lot more sense then.

Seems really dull.

The character with the eye patch us pretty much what I picture the wizard BELLATOR looks like.

I really love the aesthetic. I might have to get this game just to look at it some more.

Yeah that's how a lot of the recent smaller or indie stealth games are, it's been a successful mini-genre if you wanna call it that. I think it's cool they exist but I prefer the other type as well.

weird. thought stealth was all about doing stuff undetected

i was seriousness tho personally i hate the part where they give a hundred tools to stealth around. the best thing in mark of the ninja was using the silent steps suit, one item for distraction in case there in an enemy straight out blocking a door and thats about it. same with MGS, going in with no equip is always a lot more interesting than using a hundred silly supergadgets

I REALLY wanted to like this game. I loved Thomas Was Alone and this seemed really promising. Sadly, the checkpointing combined with the par times actually encourages you to play as sloppily as possible, and even when you're playing it right, it feels incredibly sluggish and unsatisfying. Even the story feels like it's skimming the surface of its premise, and while I totally understand hiring a YouTube celebrity for this role, Locksley's voice actor does a terrible job.

It's a real bummer, going in sure you'll love a game from a creator you like but slowly realizing you totally hate it.

This seems a little too easy due to the copious amounts of checkpoints, but it sure looks purdy.

Thomas Was Alone wasn't really my jam, but this looks great.

I like the idea of this game, and I loved Thomas Was Alone, but this isn't capturing me in the same way. Also, despite trying his best, Charlie McDonnell (charlieissocoollike) is not really up to voice-acting. I'll play it one day, but I feel zero compulsion to right now.

Maybe it says a lot about me and my broad stroke applied to how British people sound, but I totally thought Locksley was Jim Sterling throughout the Quick Look. But, uh, turns out he does a voice for another character in this game, huh?

I'd think Dan would love this considering his obsession with MGS and this seems like the VR missions.
