As a Canadian, I feel the same kind of dopey way for not knowing French. As a kid, I didn't understand how it could ever possibly apply to my life so I turned down a French immersion program. I feel as if learning a language at a young age opens up your brain to learning in different ways, and it's also just cool as hell to hear people speak multiple languages. It's endlessly impressive.

I’ll also put in a vote for Dead Space next. Great game that I haven’t played in quite a while, would love to see it again. And I think Abby would have a spooky good time!!!

Man, I loved watching this playthrough, but RE3 seems like such a sizeable step down from RE2. It was mostly just a few annoying boss fights? Happy to watch Abby and the gang play more though!

RE5 and 6 are on sale for $8 on PSN right now if Abby doesn't mind switching platforms.

Silent Hill 2 or 3 HD collection would be fun!

While I and plenty of other people regard Silent Hill 2 as a total classic, Abby played the most readily available port (I think) here...and the results were no bueno (and I do not really blame her.) If any game deserves an RE2-esque remake, SH2 does. Sadly I doubt Konami has the will nor the means to realize that though.

Dead Space or even the first BioShock have been mentioned before, both of those would be pretty cool. Two really good games.

Deadly Premonition:

Abby playing the masterpiece which is Deadly Premonition would be a dream come true for me. Yes, I know there’s two different play throughs already. I’ve watched both and crave more. There is the new switch version...just saying.

It's a little frustrating that Abby has a shotgun and she still continues to shoot the zambies in the legs instead of just one-shoting them in the face area.

Edit: I love this series. It's a lot of fun. But I'm pretty sure Abby is supposed to shoot the big electrical tanks. That's why Carlos keeps calling them out and its so frustrating that she just doesn't shoot them.

Upon further reflection, as much as I loved Dead Space, if Abby found the stuff in RE3 gross then boy let me tell you about Dead Space.

As for Silent Hill. Those games are classics and extremely of their time. Abby likes modern RE because it looks amazing and plays well. Silent Hills gameplay did not hold up even back then. In fact Silent Hill is one of the main reasons for that old discussion whether a game needs to control awkwardly to be truly "survival horror" which was always the most insane argument but some people insisted that if you can actually shoot well and move fluidly that takes away from the genre.

Silent Hill 2 has an interesting story and great atmosphere but it controls poorly and has inane puzzles. Not fun mechanical puzzles, but "you need to find a pack of canned peaches to unclog this trash chute" type of puzzles. Bring the lionhead medallion to the lionhead shaped slot in this door type puzzles.

Silent Hill remade in the current RE engine with all the quality of life improvements to movements and combat would really be exciting.

Too bad the game audio is low.

I don't know why, but I winced when Abby suggested intentionally skipping post-credit scenes.

Abby delivers the poop content, even when the Beastcast doesn't.

Unless they'd play it co-op, I don't think I want to see RE5, and definitely not RE6. Silent Hill 2 and 3 I feel like wouldn't make for very exciting content, as classic games as those might be.

Dead Space though, that'd be neat, even if I'm not sure she'd enjoy being freaked out by a game for +10 hours.

Showing the helicopter’s windows blowing out from being near the shattering zone would have at least made a better post-credits scene than what we got. As for the serious injuries, I think after seeing what Jill and Carlos absorbed to that point, they might actually survive a direct hit with the missile.

Man, a Dead Space playthrough would be so cool, please do it!

@ybbaaabby I would watch you play both Silent Hill and Dead Space! However, before you get to that, you should finish Resident Evil. Zero and 5 are left, and you should definitely play all of 5 in coop with @alex

@castiel: It is because idiots kept yelling at her to shoot the zombies in the legs when she was playing Resident Evil 2 Remake, instead of shooting them in the head like she was doing.

@vinny For Vinny since he mentioned Korean. You should totally try to learn it! You can learn to read Korean in about 3 or 4 hours. You won't understand what you're reading, but you'll be able to read and speak pretty much all the syllables, which is at least a good basis to have in the future. There's a bunch of different language learning apps to try out but i used LingoDeer to learn to read before taking actual classes. Maybe even learning Korean with Max would be a good bonding thing to do too!

I liked playing this game but its a huge let down compared to the original. Abby (and me) loves the puzzles in these games yet they removed 90% of them completely. Anyone else woried about what they do with 4 the original already had a disappointing amount of puzzles (for me) the remake will most likely have all most none (like 5 & 6).

Yes. Or she should just play Code Veronica. But I'd definitely like to see her go through RE7 first. It's such an amazing game. Very tense and atmospheric. I really felt like it was a throwback to RE2, but also had some very Silent Hill vibes. The fact that survival horror is my favorite genre of games does make me a bit biased, though.

I'm not really interested in seeing her play RE5 or 6. They went pretty much all action in those and completely lost the tone that was the main reason I loved the RE series up until that point. RE4 improved the combat and movement quite a bit, venturing more into the action genre from survival horror, but managed to keep enough of the Resident Evil vibe to make it enjoyable, even though RE2 was still my favorite until 7 came out.

RE5 is not a fun watch. Now Dead Space..........
