I JUST FINISHED WATCHING THIS CRAZY

Oh hell yeah, been hoping that GB would do more with Sea of Thieves! I really enjoyed the game (playing solo, no less) for the couple months I had Game Pass on my PC

Been having a lot of fun with the new update. If you have game pass definitely check it out!

This was fun! It's a shame this game launched as essentially an impressive water tech demo/sailing simulator when it's such a richer experience with some authored narrative content and mystery! It has such polish and with the additions post update(s), the game could have been a much celebrated achievement. I am glad that those that stuck with it from the beginning are getting some reward. :)

man the speed these videos come up has been fantastic

I love when Abby steers the conversation towards eating ass.

I still don't know if these games that launch in such a piss poor state and eventually get better should be celebrated.

This was so fun to watch. The rowboat antics were hilarious.

15 mins to get past tech issues

I love Sea of Thieves. I played all my Sea of Thieves solo with random people. also imagine if they had put the game in early access last year and put it out this year with all the stuff they added to it

I love Alex's penchant for trash-talking the sharks.

BUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE BOAT

Oar the boat to the sinked ship! Get some cannonballs from the basement!

Darn it, neither the boat that sank their ship nor any of the other boats they saw ever stumbled across their antics while they were playing!

If the in-game mic is set to the right input, use the megaphone to shout at passing ships, this game is all about making up crazy stories with strangers.

You have to turn in the loot to one of the outpost islands to reap any rewards from any of the stuff you get. Love to see more!

It'll be better once they re-familiarize themselves with the mechanics.

1hr 30min of playtime = 0% progress

loot found 3 = 0 rewards (never turned in)

They need to ad exp. so that when you play your actually making progress all the time

Do a mega playdate 4hr stream with west crew please

They have said they are not putting in that type of progression because they want people to always feel on even footing. Only progression will be cosmetics of which there are far more, and their pet/mtx systems are coming soon. It is discouraging to spend an hour getting chests then have the kraken sink you while you're solo, but if you fish it goes into your inventory and you don't lose them which is nice.

Also they had a lot of fun just playing, not everything has to always be a treadmill.

God dammit. The preview image showed a Jeff cam so I figured they were doing remote again. But it's friggin bakalar.

This was amusing, I think with a tiny bit more prep this would be something really cool to continue with.

Holy crap, there are 9 of these tall tales to do for the Shores of Gold storyline. I did 2 of them today with my family and we were going for nearly 4 hours. Would make an awesome feature on the site to see them go through these.

As a big SoT player. This was difficult to watch but funny none the less. Would love to see more.

I tried SoT today based on this. I found some chests, turned them in, then another player followed me around and kept killing me/sank my ship til I quit. is that pretty typical? If so I might give this a pass.

I am still blown away by how good the ocean waves look in this game.

Apparently that glowing figurehead was nothing to do with the quest they were on - just a distraction.

Glad to hear that Sea of Thieves is finally out of early access.

It always struck me as funny that people were so bummed out by this game seemingly having nothing to offer.

When for over a year now there have people that have lived incredibly entertaining immersive pirate lives coming up with fun and different ways to stow away on player ships and steal their stuff and/or sink their ship. (Don't confuse this with griefing, which is the act of continually harassing people for no real tangible gain)

One person's routine would be to find a group of players on a quest with good rewards, stow away alone in their ship by laying down behind a table or in a not so visible corner somewhere and biding their time. Sometimes even blending in with the crew briefly during unrelated chaos happening to the crew, to me that is the Sea of Thieves experience and has been where the real potential of this game starts to show, online pirate simulator.

So then you have people that got to "Pirate Legend" by grinding quests forever and transporting chickens, and people who stole their way to Pirate Legend by handing in ill-gotten gains. The latter being a more fufilling experience to watch and play when you take your time.

So I never really saw why people wanted story content so badly when really the game would be much more interesting being turned into a deeper and more immersive pirate simulator instead where you thrive at the expense of others, otherwise why bother wasting time making it about pirates, right?

From a pirate legend to everyone, hope you all consider checking out SoT. Game is seriously one of the best grab a beer and game with friends games I've ever played. It also breaks your idea of the grinding treadmill in such a refreshing way.

@alex That t-shirt is incredible. One of my favourite bands showing up in my favourite show (at least back then) was so good.

@magicboots: They triggered my motion sickness so fast I had to immediately quit out on my friends and go lay down.

I just started playing this game after grabbing the 3-months for $1 steal of Game Pass that is still going on right now. It's fantastic. The only hard part is convincing my friends to pick it up too.

I would love to see them play through the new event though, seems like fun.

@boiter: Unfortunately, Jeff isn't in our back-end when building each page as he isn't technically GB staff.

If they want to keep playing Sea of Thieves I'd be very happy to watch more.

This game keeps getting better and better

This is the least amount of combat I've ever seen in Sea of Thieves and it looks a lot more fun this way.

I laughed so hard I cried a little when Jeff was trying to coax them back from the edge of the rowboat

This was such a relaxing stream to watch really loved all of it, do continue whenever you find the time for it :)
