Again, just trying to help, but Ben's mic is a little loud and even blown out in a few spots. I think the last UPF had the same problem.

Man...I hate to be that guy..but can Rorie stop talking for at least 30 seconds? He's so distracting and bounces between so many topics that it's just annoying to watch any content with him in it. It seems that if there's even a second of silence Rorie feels he will explode if he doesn't blurt out some random discussion that no one asked for. I've been feeling this way for a while and didn't want to mention it but it's just getting to me

@snakeeater321: The only time he stops talking is to apologize for talking too much or to tell Ben to interrupt everyone with something from chat.

@sgtblumpkin: Yep, exactly. I'm finding myself actively avoiding content with Rorie in it because he finds a way to just derail or interrupt or distract everyone from actual meaningful conversation or gaming or goofy hijinks that GiantBomb is known for.
I hate to be dumping on the guy..he seems like a nice guy with genuine anxiety issues so I can't fault him too much, but I don't think he fits the dynamic yknow?

I think I speak for the rest of the woke Internet culture when I think it's time we change the name of this from murder island to something more positive and less murdery maybe virtual military shooting simulator island. We don't want to offend our current administration in Washington with all the talk of violence in video games.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed this. Surely it's not difficult to know behind the scenes when someone's mic is too hot. The East crew same to nail it every time with either Vinny or Abby always wearing a mic to keep an eye on these things.

@snakeeater321: as a counter point I actually really like that about Rorie and enjoy him on most streams a lot more than for instance Ben forcing a joke or being incredibly loud for comedic effect. We all have our ticks so it’s probabky impossible to please everyone ..although the OG Giant Bomb crew back in the day was pretty much perfect.

Some people really make an effort to broadcast their reasons for not watching something instead of just not watching, kind of like anal retentive mid-40s soccer moms who proudly boast on company Facebooks about why they're not shopping at that company anymore.

Are gamers the new mid-40s soccer mom?

Also, I like Rorie's banter, especially in a game of attrition like PUBG.

This was fun! I feel like PUBG and Fortnite will continue to co-exist and both will continue to take ideas from each other as well as introduce completely new stuff. I feel like Fortnite is more accesible because it's on more platforms and is free, but I never expected it to be so crazy popular even being more popular than PUBG.

Haha...yeah , he kind of shared my frustration with the ,not totally, tactical movement of Brad and Ben. I like all the bombers, new and old. Also keep pubgaming guys. Our mean comments are just because we care. It's always nice to watch an underdog in action. Especially one that is improving.

I can't watch Brad sprinting through areas full of buildings, not looking where he's going.

Why does Brad open inventory every time he picks something up; even single items? Unless there's a giant pile of stuff that you need to sort through, just pick it up as you are running by.

I'll take Rorie's rantings and ravings any day over Dan's wrestling references and constant ELI5 questions.

To be fair (and like the GB peeps pointed out in a Bombcast), "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds" is a crappy brain-fart of a name. "Murder Island" has pizzaz!

Same here, and I make it a point to be vocal about it in the comments (in reference to the person that asked why some folks post their dislike instead of not watching). I have frequently commented on wishing for less Rorie content - because I am actively trying for it to happen instead of being passive.

Comments are one of the few ways that we can directly interact with the GB staff AND solicit further community response (either agreement OR disagreement). I do absolutely have an agenda of trying to decrease Rorie time in GB content, because of my strong personal preference - and recognizing that content decisions at GB are partially driven by community feedback, comments are my way of trying to influence that in the "less Rorie, please" direction (but also to generate the discussion to see opposing views).

It's evident that Rorie is a very polarizing figure in the community - some love his personality in the content and some hate it. I think it's important to recognize both preferences and see how (and if) that is important to the community. After all, this IS a personality-driven site, so a compatible personality is important, and so is feedback from the community on it.

tl:dr I would, too, prefer less Rorie in everything. I post a lot about it to try make that happen, but it's important to recognize both pro-Rorie and anti-Rorie sentiments in the community in a balanced way.

@smokebreaks: yea lets never say the reasons we dislike something just leave so creators have no feedback with which to improve very smart very thought out. pubg isnt a game of attrition either.

I'd love to see the staff do another 4-player squad video on the smaller island, I did not get tired of those videos.

I like Rorie, and I particularly appreciate that his taste in games covers some different territory compared to the rest of the staff (like CRPG & strategy stuff).

But is GB actually paying him? The poor man is buying bread for lunch and the second cheapest whiskey for his dog parties!

Those emotes seem pretty cringeworthy/unnecessary. Hope they don't come to the Xbox version.
