We breakdown Squeenix's excellent new 3DS RPG, then chat about continuing adventures in Dragon Quest X, PSN store stuff, Zynga, Kevin Butler, Thriller Instinct (that's right), and more, with a brief detour into old-school Nintendo Power with former editor (and current 8-4 collaborator) Alan Averill.

Every other week, tune into 8-4 Play for talk about video games, Japan, and Japanese video games, straight from the 8-4 offices in beautiful downtown Tokyo. Hosted by 1UP Japan's own Mark MacDonald, John Ricciardi, and Hiroko Minamoto.

a awesome chill crew thats bombcast-esque, they can get a bit more crass than the bombcast at times, but they are still easily one of the best podcasts around imo

Western developers hiring Japanese artists seems like a really good idea. Just have someone to rein it in when the belt count gets too high and the ages get too low.

I'm not the one who asked obviously, but I appreciate the information. I thought it was something from Ni No Kuni since its soundtrack uses a lot of the same instruments, but yeah. Thanks!
