Dang, I thought this was a video feature on Super Meat Boy. That game is rad.

I'm really enjoying the feature, @patrickklepek. My one wish once you complete these games is to do an interview with a developer. It would've been awesome to do a dumptruck with Derek Yu after you got that deep into Spelunky, or talking to Edmund after finishing this series.

At that point, you're in a position to really know what you're talking about. It'd be a rare opportunity to interview someone about some deep cuts. The aesthetic, the enemy design, the bosses, the music, etc. Just a thought, keep up the good work.

I think he mentioned during one of the Spelunkin' with Scoops streams that he had an interview scheduled with Derek Yu. It was either that or during one of his evening twitch Streams. He might have done that interview last week, actually!

Really loving this almost as much as Spelunky; I played a fair bit of Binding of Isaac a while back and this just makes me want to go back to it.

@patrickklepek Have you beaten FTL? If not, you should make that the next feature!

People weren't kidding when they said Wrath of the Lamb makes this game a lot harder. I started playing BoI when this feature began and put about 10 hours into it without even making it to Mom. Today, however, I downloaded a mod which would disable Wrath of the Lamb and promptly beat Mom in under an hour. Can't wait to see Patrick's reaction when he decides to activate the expansion for himself.

Cool intro music Patrick! I really like the ambiance, would love to hear something like this as an intro to the 'Dump Truck' again.

I'll be the first to admit that this game is structurally super interesting, but I probably shouldn't watch any more because of my religitude, unfortunately.

I cannot get the PS4 controller to work with Isaac. Any help? I have tried Joy2key and DS4 wrapper. I must be missing something. Running windows 8.

I actually yelled when Patrick died with 53 cents. Not sure if I'll ever get Cane myself.

You should definitely charge up Brimstone completely instead of spamming... it does a lot more damage (usually takes out an enemy in one hit)

It seems like development for Binding of Isaac has ceased at this point (a couple trinkets in Wrath of the Lamb are bugged, and some of the Steam achievements are mixed up, there hasn't been a patch for months and months), but I wish they would've changed the game so that even if you own the Wrath of the Lamb, its content doesn't unlock until you beat the game like 5 times or something.

Anybody who just buys this game on sale and gets a bundle with the base game and the expansion is in for a frustrating experience because Wrath of the Lamb content is immediately incorporated into the game, even though frankly pretty much ALL of it is only appropriate for experienced players with like dozens of hours logged.

@herbiebug: I love how Patrick was talking a year back about broadening his horizon by playing games he wouldn't usually touch and he brought us tons of his own content by doing that!

Really enjoying this. I think my lack of knowledge of how to play the game correctly is why I never got farther than I did. I plan to learn more by watching and, ultimately, jump back in the BOI to dominate that sick fucking mother. :)

Do what you will duder, but I think it is quite silly to not watch something you enjoy because it vaguely references Christianity, I missed the Thou Shalt not consume media of a certain type in the commandments. The mother is crazy and the game is about SPOILERS about Isaac dealing with his own guilt for things he felt like he did the only references to Christianity are "Voice from above" and a few items "The Mark" "The Halo" "Book of Rev" and the deals with the devil, but I don't see how references to your beliefs would make it where you need to stop watching your just seeing them in a negative light because you don't know how the story is finished it actually is about Redemption that seems like something you could get behind.
