@chilibean_3: We played, but ended up not streaming on Sunday and Monday; Brad was raring for some incognito Dota (which he lovingly referred to as "incognidota").

Can we stop doing this? It was fun for the week no one was in the office but now it seems like a waste. Oh and also DOTA is boring as hell to watch.

I was worried that this feature was over when no new video went up yesterday.

Glad to see I was wrong.

Considering there are people who like it a lot (myself included), and it only takes an hour or so of Brad's time, why don't you just ignore the videos?

I don't like DOTA. I can't stop watching these. Don't know why...

Brad, as KOTL.. you need to make sure you're using Chakra on just about every cooldown. Your teammates are low on mana too much with your Chakra off cooldown and that's KOTL's primary role early game.

Also, use your Mekansm! You literally didn't use it a single time that game (well, once, but they had already called gg) and it would've won you teamfights in the mid game even harder.

Finally, after you split your boots for your Travels, a useful thing to build your team with the Ring of Regen and Ring of Protection is a Vladamir's Offering. The lifesteal and damage is awesome for your carries and the bonus armor is great for everyone.

EDIT: Awesome job using Blinding Light, however. A lot of KOTL players don't use that spell effectively.

The Daily Dota VIII: Dota Harder

I would love the replays and the audio from the stream so I can watch the whole map while listening to the goodness of friendly dota fun times. Maybe that's a bit greedy

I watched this match in the Dota client while waiting for a match to start and it inspired me to try KotL. He's actually a badass hero.

Illuminate + Chakra are both ridiculously good. And he essentially has 3 ults.

Imho with Kotl you want to never not spam Q.

@haywirenz: Just go to watch recent games in the client and search rudds, every replay's sitting there waiting to be downloaded. Leave the video running for the audio. Just following crispy's perspective most of the time seems to do the job, he's awesome at following any action while pulling off plenty of #bigplays

As far as I know, twitch archives everything for at least a few weeks in the "Past Broadcasts" section of a channel, unless someone specifically goes back and deletes the videos.

Maybe I've been spoiled by the fact that original dota games were everywhere and that League has like 20 second queues, but does it always take so long to find matches in dota 2?

I know I'm in Japan so when I play it can take 5-6 minutes to find a game, but I always just attributed that to my location. It seems these guys wait a while in queue for every game too though

I am pro Daily DOTA so long as Kessler is involved. Any way to get him on a mic works for me. Also it's helping me to suck a *little* less (I think).

Same here. It's weird. I don't like the game (as I don't like the vast majority of competitive multiplayer games), but watching Brad and the Gang play Dota 2 is unexplicably charming.

This series combined with some light badgering by a fellow SA Goon has sucked me into the Dota world.

I'm not terribly effective yet, but I've avoided feeding and learned the basics using ranged characters that allowed me to avoid high-intensity close combat battles.

I am, however, obsessed with reading about the heroes, items, strategies, etc.

All that remains is actually getting good
