Bounty Hunter sounds like Rufus from Bastion.

I want jeff to do a daily something thats actually entertaining to watch. No offense to brad but Dota takes starcraft and removes all the stuff that makes it interesting to watch. Its like a first person shooter with less action.

Speak for yourself. I think it's awesome. Consistently entertaining even if I don't play Dota. I just like the banter, and this pretty much IS breaking Brad depending on the game.

I am not seeing Brad get any better at this game other then maybe last hitting a little better. I can also hear the frustration in his teammates voices when talking to him.

@kohe321: It is a great game when players who understand the intricacies of the game are playing. With good commentators and 2 teams who are extremely well versed and have been playing since the original, it can be extremely exciting. This is akin to watching Starcraft played at a bronze level while his silver-gold level team mates attempt to make it a bearable match to watch while trying to help him as much as possible without going crazy.

Every time I hear his voice I begin to miss the Fear Gauntlet. :(

Daily Dota highlights for me, that the home page should have filter options for those of us who don't want to see certain content when we log in e.g. a Call of Duty Trailer. I'm glad it exists, just am more interested in other things currently.

@aether: That's missing the point, I don't necessarily need the players to be tournament-level skilled in order to find the stream entertaining. The main reason I watch this is for the banter and entertainment of watching this select group of dudes play together. The gameplay comes second, allthough Crispy does deliver some impressive play every game - and is a hillarious to boot.

Shagbark was the only winner on this installment of Daily Dota.

You are not going to garner sympathy for having to see a link on the front page. Honestly, that's ridiculous. Don't click it. It's very simple.

Brad's getting better - he understands the abilities and how everything interacts but he still needs to work on his map awareness and positioning. For example, Brad is far too defensive and there are many times where he'll run into a fight, think he might die, run off, and when it starts tipping into their favour, he comes back and it's already ended. Sometimes putting yourself into a fight and actually contributing, even if you might die, could turn the tide of the battle. Anyway, we're enjoying the content - keep it up Brad.

As someone who hasn't played either game but has watched tournaments of each I disagree, DOTA is much more fun to watch. The team aspect and phases of the game along with the ability to make mistakes at the daily dota level and come back is much more interesting. Hearing them talk to each other is a big plus as well and more fun to me than hearing commentators.

This feature has reached the point like the Bombcast in which I don't know that I would enjoy it if the core group of 4 were different. Crispy's knowledge and ballsy moves and Kessler's self-deprecating almost dry delivery of jokes while Pascual just all around entertains (the Vinny role), it's become a second podcast for me. Keep it up.

Crispy and the Matts along with special guests make this fun to listen to. I wish Brad was less frustrated during team fights as his cursing and shouting while the others are trying to convey tactics is off putting. Still I love the Daily DOTA and do thank Brad for getting it on the site.

I have no idea how match making works but checking the win records of their opponents in the last few games shows some pretty accomplished DOTA players in the game. I imagine as Brad's win total goes up the level of competition also rises and now he is in games that his lack of experience really hinders the team. Of course I have played two online matches of DOTA (lost both of them) and quite a few bot matches so I know I have no room to talk about DOTA.

I really enjoy this feature still, the banter is the thing to come for and the game is enjoyable to watch as well

It is hard to scroll past when it's every third or forth post. If I wanted to visit Dota.com... I'd go to Steam, and even then it's hidden, lol. It's free advertising for Valve and actually does have an impact on the range of content we get on the site. Wish Brad used his journalistic talent to create more content like Patrick, Alex and Jeff.

@magris: This is all part of him learning to play Dota. When you're first starting to play you can easily get tunnel vision about killing someone, and stop thinking about what you're doing. You're essentially panic killing and you mess up a lot of the time. Getting better at Dota, or any other intense micro MP game, is remaining calm and objective in fights, and it's something you only get through playing.

I think Brad is completely aware of how bad he is also, he's always asking question and taking advice from the others. It's easy to watch a stream or video when you're not in the moment and see what someone should of done (watching a replay of yourself playing is especially painful because of this) but it's another matter when you're in the middle of the game.

He's getting better, but he's still bad, and playing with people who are much more experienced, so there's going to be frustration at times, but overall everyone is having fun and the videos are great to watch because of it.

I'm really loving this feature, and loving the interaction of the regular crew and getting people like CyborgMatt or Amir in from time to time is awesome too. We also need Brad Muir on so we can have a :Daily :Dota.

Has anyone noticed that Brad seems to do better with ranged characters? I feel like he doesn't manage himself for melee attacks very well.

I wish Brad would fix his mic volume. The player is at like 5% volume and Brad is still so fucking loud.

This is fun to watch now that I'm trying to get into the game a little bit, I appreciate all the conversations these guys have...and they definitely need to hire Kessler in the future if they can swing it!

Is it possible to switch the stream to someone else each day? No offense, Brad. Just want to shake things up a little bit.
