I hope we get to hear some final thoughts from Vinny about 999 in the future. The mind-fuckery in that game is pretty tame compared to later games, but it's still definitely a game that ends up being way more than it first appears.

Got I hope so. I hope he gets around to the sequels, but those games are relatively long and I don't blame Vinny if he drops off. But maaaan ZTD goes places and has such great plot twists. The revelations that the VLR timeline is just another timeline in ZTD. That Phi's existence is a causal paradox. Q's identity and all the hints around that that are so easy to miss.

Also hey Matthew, if you're reading: I first stepped on a skateboard at 25 in order to get around campus, and without the help of a Vew-Do balance board, I would have broken my wrists a couple of times just learning how to balance on a skateboard if I wasn't able to practice in the safety of my living room. I'm so jazzed that Vinny is diving into the Zero Escape series with 999, VLR, and eventually ZTD. I hope he can keep at it because I would love to hear his thoughts as he goes through the series.
I really love the series even with its imperfections. It's a fun ride the whole way.

It's people with more money and less time trying to keep up with multiple Joneses and their "Must Play" titles coming out like a conga line at all times, especially long-term investment ones (for people who get it) like Mmmmmmmmmobas and Fighters.

They often dont even remember how they actually played games back as kids before long anyways.

Vinny's idea that they'll release a second mini NES with different games on it is crazy. I'm pretty sure this product they're releasing is a tacit admission that they know there are only about 30-40 NES Virtual Console games that there is actually much demand for. With Virtual Console sales presumably flagging, and then NES Remix didn't take off the way they wanted, this is pretty much their next idea.

This has to be one of my favorite Beastcast episodes! Great mix of information, hilarious moments and all around positivity.

That last 30 seconds...magical. I wish they let it record a bit longer, I feel like they would have talked a bit about it's tonal dissonance but it cut off right after.

Yeah I used to run 3 miles 2 times a week and it took me half an hour each time, stress used to

@caleb1915: running is tough! It's one of those sports where any extended break from it will completely decimate your ability to perform it. There were a few times where I would catch a cold or something and be unable to run for like a week and a half, which felt like it set me back a month or more. Luckily with each successive break it takes less time to get back on the horse once you start training again. Recently I had an accident where I was hospitalized and had a fractured neck vertebrae. Couldn't run for over two months while everything mended but then it took about a week and a half to get back into running 7-8 miles.

As a native of the town, I can confirm that the correct pronunciation of Doncaster is, of course, Donny.

(As in Donnie Darko, Donnie Wahlberg, etc.)

Not sure why Alex assumes that Overwatch will have a set amount of characters eventually. I think it mostly depends on the longevity of the game. Dota2 will create new characters in the future because that game is still popular. I don't see why Overwatch will stop producing new characters for a game that might be big for them over multiple years.

They will stop releasing characters because they will eventually want to release an Overwatch 2. There's not enough monetary hooks in the game to keep up free stuff forever.

I thought of an idea for a 200x better pokemon mobile game: Play pokemon red AND or blue version. Much better experience.
