Whatever happened to the couple that was trucking through the US and asked the Beastcast about naming the truck or something? I would love to check out the blog that they said they were going to do.

@vinny Here in Alabama, we pour bacon grease in a Mason jar. It'll congeal and is then able to be spooned out and used later for oil to fry stuff in. Large amounts of oil just get used to burn brush with or just dumped in the woods.

This Beastcast was something else. I was smiling the whole time and got some strange looks on the subway, but what a nice time with the folks!

Crytek are either really badly run or really scummily run.

Pokémon Red/Blue were a big factory for rumours, because the truth was sometimes even more insane. Sure, people talked shit about Mewthree, or Bill's Secret Garden, but at the same time a ton of shit that sounds like BS ended up being true. "Go talk to this old man in Viridian City, go through his tutorial, then fly to Cinnabar Island and surf on the coast until you meet a glitched up Pokémon that gives you 128 of the sixth item in your bag." The method that actually works to get Mew is even more insane.

The Redwall series would count as mouse fiction I think.

@deerokus: I'd sooner guess poorly run/simply struggling. Honestly they may need to start downsizing. I get the sense that their primary business of engine licensing hasn't been doing so well.

People like to think it's scumminess that creates situations like this but for an established company that's pretty unlikely. It doesn't do much for the company to pretend they don't have the money to pay workers because it doesn't help the business or higher up individuals too much.

That stuff happens in this industry. The cycle of money on games isn't like with your traditional job.

The only real issue there might be with management is communication. I wouldn't call that scummy just unwise and based on fear or other reactionary emotions.

But what do I know. Very little, to be clear.

First 15 minutes had me laughing out loud multiple times.

Vinny and Jeff are like sparring partners in the pun ring. Vinny is more frantic, Jeff more laid back but both don't run away from any stupid quip that could possibly be made to fit in there. Alex is like the avuncular referee. I love it! Happy holidays to all.

The Snowman is the only Christmas thing I watch every year. I try to watch The Unknown Soldier every year as well, but sometimes I miss the airing and I don't own a copy.
