@jeff In regard to the framerate in Road Rash II being so poor, do you think there is a market for companies rereleasing old games like that with small improvements like better framerate? The game itself still looks good and plays well, so touching up the framerate and audio is all I would need to be interested in buying it.

Is there an archive of Ben's stream somewhere? I can't find it on his twitch.

Unless I'm incorrect, Phoenix was a Taito game. Pleiads however was the first Tecmo game, and not at all an official sequel to Phoenix even though it certainly seems to have taken many cues from it.

I love Road Rash back in the day and was psyched to see it added to the Sega Classic Mini. If that collection had Aladdin it might be perfect or close to it.

I always forget just how good Frogger is. Simple but can be super hard. Almost a perfect game.

There is something just so unintentionally hilarious about the speed and soundtrack of that Sierra On-Line version of Frogger. It’s so pure and frantic, and games need to get back to that energy imo

Thoughts on Virtua Racing "Yo man, those wheels are almost round!"

Surprised Jeff didn't go into it, but the reason why the Genesis version of Pit Fighter is considered the "definitive" one (although they are all terrible) is that they wisely pulled the camera way back, made the arena bigger and the controls a bit peppier. It's better than the arcade version, but not by much.

The change from Pitfighters sad sack FM quality and Road Rage's could not be wider.
