F&F looks terrible, but Control is still a great game!

Saves for Control are not cross compatible between Epic and Steam - which seems like a huge oversight. There are already 100% main games saves available though so you can download those to get straight to the DLC.

I know this was all part of the same stream, but couldn't these long videos be split into smaller videos per game or something? It's kinda weird to open a video about Fast and Furious and it starts with one hour of Control. Splitting the videos would also help with clicks and views on Youtube too.

That game looks awful, like early PS3 era awful... but honestly, The Rock-less F&F deserves no better.

Wasn't Wheelman also set in Barcelona? I wonder if they just re-used the same city model and replaced the assets?

Also I think Jeff might be misremembering the quality of Wheelman. There was some dumb fun to be had at times, but I'm not sure it was actually "good".

someone asked about Control on PS4 Pro. That's how I'm playing it. The main game I had a few rooms that caused the framerate to drop, but not that many, maybe 3 or 4 noticeable area?

The DLC has been fine though. It looks worse than I remember at points, lower quality character models, so I do wonder if they've just dropped a few settings to get it running a bit better

To put it in context, I'd usually play on PC but picked it up on PS4 for reasons, still really enjoyed it, so it's definitely playable. I'd rather have played on my PC at 60fps but oh well

Just here for the Control love. I played on Xbox One X and it was my GOTY. In March I upgraded my PC to an RTX card in anticipation of Doom, Cyberpunk, and eventually playing Control again with the raytracing. Finally got to start my new playthrough over the weekend and It still such a damn good video game!

I know the window has long passed for something like this, but a Control spoilercast would have been cool.

I love control. I am playing it over again on Steam, having purchased a 2080 recently, the RTX stuff looks so good, and YES JEFF, YOU SHOULD BE USING DLSS (now in 2.0 stage), in EVERY context when using an Nvidia card. I don't know the exact technicals right this second but it's doing a lot of work through their AI upscaling that you'll be getting a jump in framerates (like 20-30 fps more) over standardized upscaling in most cases, ESPECIALLY running RTX, where you can push the RT cores and the GPU by offloading some of the extra work by using DLSS 2.0.

There's a vague census that says a RTX 2070 is something relatively (and by relative, meant on technical similarity) close to what each of the new consoles are running (though that'll be ATI etc etc etc), so running DLSS is a big advantage, and for anyone feeling that need to upgrade- a decent i7 CPU, 20 series GPU and moreover; right now DLSS and a 2070 are going to pretty much match (engines an hardware architecture aside) the next-gen par on graphics for a good while, as illustrated with Control. But do use DLSS.

One thing I really appreciate on the re-play of Control is the ramp-up on the stuff they give you. The first playthrough, I definitely took my time, but part of me was chasing the float ability- this time around I am actually really enjoying the more pick-and-choose with cover-use in the early game. I enjoyed it the first time around but having float and all things fully powered up, the combat definitely becomes a bit of a power trip by the end, where the game does start out as fairly challenging. I hear this level of challenge comes back by way of both expeditions and the two DLCs, and that's exciting; I held off on those for a second playthrough and am excited to play through the entire Control story a year later. Gonna be hard to go back to Alan Wake, but it's still on the must-get-to's.
