Alexander the Great was Macedonian, you monsters!

Jackal is one of my favorite NES games growing up, so I was very excited when I saw this listed on the schedule last night!

The modern day "Republic of Macedonia" and ancient Macedon are two different things. Ancient Macedonia was part of Greece, so it's perfectly accurate to say Alexander the Great was Greek.

I watched a no-hit run of this game on youtube in preparation for this. I loved this game as a kid and felt pretty proud of myself when I beat the final boss.

It always amazes me the difficulty they have realizing pretty obvious mechanics for some games at times, I mean it's painfully clear that the upgrade dudes come from different structures than the regular POWs, plus it's always only 1 dude, come on guys!!

FWIW, this game is significantly easier in 2 player mode compared to Contra - if they want a real challenge, they should do Battletoads for the NES!

@dr_insane: not a ton of modern games that are suited for two people to sit down and beat in around an hour

Huh, in the no-hit video I watched last night, the "Here?" screen never showed up. It was always "YEAHHHH!" I wonder if randomly chooses which one shows up?

Also, they got a lot further than I expected they would. That last boss was the first stage of the final boss.
